#35257, "There was a lot of discussion about the difficulty of getting Maranated"

Is it now easier to get Maran than it was, say, 6-12 months ago?

not only can you not get good gear off of other goodies who hoard it.

You have big limitations preventing you from engaging in a lot of PK.

You are forced to to some extent be friends with noobs.

You can't neccesarily go to parts of some area explores

You have generally less nifty super high end gear.

You also get no cabal powers until a point after the average character has deleted. Well you do get cabal powers but protection is not entirely difficult to come by and happens to be built in to a lot of goodie classes already.

question to the imms. What is the average number of hours that a goodie char who breaks level 30 plays and what is the average hour counter for people who get maranated. Then what is the percent of people who join the fort that ultimatly get maran. If that percent is under 50... (which I would be shocked if it was over 25) then their is something wrong with the cabal. If you need to step up initial induction standards to accomadate lowering maraning standards then maybe that is something to do.

Easy, pity Maran. He was one of the only Fort guys logging on with horrible odds for a long time. He didn't get it till near the very end anyway. Maran has never been you need 50 PK's and bam! It's also about dedication, that's why it takes 150 hours+ alot of the time.

Read Miyo's Immortal comments and Death Thread. Maran comes at the end of showing you're already acting like one. Check Mellathdion too, he didn't get it till 200+ hours I think.

I'd love to see Maran come earlier for those of us who aren't elite PKers, but meh. It's ok as it is for me.
