#34480, "So have rangers been able to ambush rangers..."
|
Who are suffering from dirt kick?
I swear I have tried this many times and it never worked before.
I have been able to ambush other rangers only when they are asleep or I am invisible. I can't recall ever trying if they were blind from the blind spell but I was possitive they couldn't be ambushed while dirted.
If so, I am kicking myself in the ass for all those R on R fights where they ran off on me.

It's never happened to me, I've never seen it happen to another, in game or in a log. It's never been attempted on me even that I ever detected.
Blows my mind.
I must have based my assumption on trying to ambush someone who had wiped without me ever realizing it.

They get a 2-tick dirt kick in home terrain which makes the flee/ambush route more feasible. If you couldn't do it in the past, it may just have been that you couldn't beat the timer. I know I couldn't a lot of the time.

I think you have done a great job of letting us all know the limitations of your game knowledge.

Yes, at least as recently as 2006, when Tjok roamed the earth. It was basic strategy #1 as far as pre-revamp ranger vs. ranger fights go.
