#32735, "Exp drain from mobs"
|
I was just wondering why this is in the game (crap, can't remember the spell name right now) where the mob drains life from you and you end up losing 100-200 exp on each occurrence. It makes fighting some mobs rather pointless because the net benefit is tiny.
I get that you lose mana and hp, but exp too? Just seems a bit pointless.
My 2 cents for the week.

I can only think of a couple things that do this, and in both cases, they have an item you want. (Which is the net benefit, so to speak.)

With a druid, it's a VERY viable ranking spot if you can kill them before they drain more xp than you earn. They have no item

I know a few mobs that do this that have nothing of value and really are good ranking mobs otherwise. I still go there with my chars though, and hell, if you're concern is skill practice and not levels, they'll stay at razor forever since you can't really rank on them given how much they will drain you, so they are actually great for that.
