#32658, "Look vs Examine?"

Someone said that you dont get obs exp if you examine, but you do if you look. Is this true, and if so, why is it that way?

I mean, if you look at a box, you don't see what's in it, but if you examine it, you do. Wouldn't it make more sense, if anything, to give the exp for examining and not looking? Or just make it so that both give the exp?

I have an alias that sets my 'l' command to be examine instead, so I don't have to try and figure out if something is a container or not, and I always get observation experience out of it.

Because that is often what gets stated as fact on qhcf.

Here is the definition in case you get the wrong search results

Superstitious behavior arises when the delivery of a reinforcer or punisher occurs close together in time (temporal contiguity) with an independent behavior. Therefore, the behavior is accidentally reinforced or punished, increasing the likelihood of that behavior occurring again.
