#31711, "Dervish rolled a shifter and got questions!"

1. In many logs I saw when the shifter changes his form he maintains his spells like haste or stone skin. But I (I am not a hero and far from it) always lose my spells. How so?

2. Greater enlivens. I read on officials an opinion that greater enlivens are better for the forms that already have this bonus. So shell of the armadillo for polar bear or agility of mongoose for the mongoose. But...lets do some math. Lets assume shell of the armadillo gives you 20% dam redux. So mongoose with it will have 20% dam redux. But the bear, who has inherent 60% dam redux will have (100%-60%)*20% only 8% of dam redux, so its much less effective on bear. Well...can someone clarify this for me?

3. How its better to whittle tough mobs (if we have no regen form) - with dodgy defensive form (mongoose, lemur) or offensive form (tiger/lion/grizzly)?

Most of this is covered below; I'll add a few things.

>2. Greater enlivens.

Without offering an opinion on which is better for what, they're not all flat bonuses. Some might depend on a form's abilities or stats.

>3. How its better to whittle tough mobs (if we have no regen

>offensive form (tiger/lion/grizzly)?

I'd say it depends; an offense form like tiger with a little bit of dodging is going to look a lot better for this than one like lion that has a little more damage but basically no defense.

1. To maintain those spell you need controls. Check skill list.
2. Dunno, never bothered me.
3. My bet would be on offensive forms. Though it also might depend on skillset of perticular mob. For example mongoose/lumur don't dodge area attacks.
