Is it now considered OK for village applicants to use items that heal in combat if they don't have a magic flag? I always thought they were supposed to shy away from healing items. Just wondering since you can only take these kinds of things with a grain of salt.

Village applicants use town healers like anyone else, so why not this?
It's all ridiculous but it's what they do now. Reason 3145 why I don't play villagers anymore.

I used town healers because I did not know its frowned upon. My first villager. Perhaps other applicants are like me.

It also used to be impossible for applicants to wear magic items. I got griped out by Yean though because my char was wearing magical items and I was still under the impression that apps were hard coded to be unable to. Things like this annoy me when the Imms change this stuff and then they don't tell people and expect people to just "know" automagically.
