Drunkboy in dangeroom is saying:

1 - You don't get observation xp if you're not in a cabal (he says "as a muter" but I suspect there aren't class based distinctions for how you get obs xp).

2 - You don't get observation xp if you do not have a role.

3 - You have to do something "rpwise" and only then "might you have a chance" to get obs xp.

Is any of this true or accurate?

Since I have no idea who this is, who talked to them, or what they said... no.

Because he wasn't getting any observation experience. I told him that it wasn't a bug, and confirmed he wasn't getting any observation experience.

If you're in the mood to be even more helpful, might you tell us why that person wasn't getting obs xp? He is still arguing in dangeroom and not understanding what's being said. He is not a native English speaker and that might be adding to the difficulty.

Because if you don't take risks, you don't get observation exp.

If you don't do the things required to get observation exp (looking at mobs, and examining your surroundings, and, if I recall, rare items), you don't get obs exp.

He's probably wandering around duo or only looking in wand locations or something.
