Depending on which telnet client you're using, WarMage's advice will probably work.

I highly suggest you use a MUD client instead of raw telnet.

Daevryn can apparently kill people using raw telnet. I can't.

This is unscientific, but some of the most popular ones seem to be:

Zmud (windows only)
Cmud (successor to Zmud, windows only afaik)
MushClient (windows only)
JMC (java based)
tintin++ (for linux, bsd, or os x)
yTin (windows only)
Wintin (windows only)

tintin++, yTin and Wintin all support tintin++ scripting syntax. Though, yTin does have some deviations.

OK here's what you need to do.

After you connect to CF.

Hit:

CTRL + ] ((literally hit ctrl, then hit the ] on the keyboard.))

It will, temporarily, move you away from the skull and back to the command prompt.

When you are there type:

set localecho

Hit enter at this point. You have just turned on the ability to see the characters that you type.

Hit enter again, and this returns you to the skull and the log in screen.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Otherwise, no doubt you will have people telling you to try and find a mud client like Zmud or MUSHClient or something.

(( which you may want to anyways, since they work a lot better and have more functionality.))

News flash, everybody on this ####ing MUD wants to be Rambo. We should have called it RamboMUD. ~Daevryn~
