#25663, "Portals at the chasm...."

....I saw some other topic about it, but couldn't find it. (Though didn't search that hard for it.)

I mean common! 5 minutes and they clear out the entire inventory of 3 chars! (Really, we spent 3 minutes at the chasm not fighting.)

And when the only defend finally dies, the portal does too... Them vanisihing with EVERYTHING. Personally I think that they should linger around for a while, then eventually drop everything or something. It shouldn't be easy to get the things back, but not impossible! (Perhaps not impossible, but for some goodies, most things you won't get back until the game is rebooted...)

Personally I think it's crap... Ooh well, gotta get back into the game and regather stuff for like what? 5 hours? And hopefully I'll get half of it back...

(Yeah I know, lots of whining there... But had to get it off my chest...)

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

I'm pretty certain the thieving, winged nightwalkers DO stay around after the portal disperses; probably for the very reason you want them to.

Perhaps an Imm can confirm or deny this.

I had the missing items located, all gone. Which explained why we couldn't fog them out no matter how hard we tried. (This was AFTER I killed the person who put up the portal.)

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

I think they are probably following the same rules as nightwalkers, druk'trar, and conjie servitors...meaning they will go away when the summoner dies. However, I do not think that was intended for the special functionality of Forsaken Portal.

To keep it balanced, you have to have a chance at nailing those little ####ers and getting your gear back. I would bug it and push for it.

so now when they fail a steal they step out, the thing is that they can all combat steal which means fighting vs not fighting doesn't seem to make any difference and they do stack for as long as the person who made the portal stays logged in and they do not get exposed to day light. so if one guy in a 3 hour login calls 6 portals you should see roughly 12-15 winged nightwalkers chillin in the chasm each stealing about 1-3 things a tick, so just go somewhere and drop everything before raiding.

p.s. the echos that food and drink are contaminated are nice, though should seaweed be contaminated as well, isn't it gross enough already?
