#24066, "Edge points and raiding."

Would it be a good idea to give out edge points for raiding and retrieving based on the number of opponents in range?

If I'm Empire and I retrieve against 3v1 odds, which in my book is cool even if it is just because I time it well, a reward would be pretty handy.

Or if it's a 3v2 situation, the edge points would be divided out to the two retrievers.

I think it'd be cool to see something for raiding and taking items, too.

I like this idea because it dangles the carrot out to the playerbase to go out and do something against bad odds. Cabal wars often looks like a stare down to see who logs out first. Get out there and do something cool. As always, immexp trumps this by far, but not everything is always seen by imms and this rewards the minor things too.

Peace.

e.g. Some people will rack up points using an out of pk healer etc.

Would be better to make it non-automated, and just instruct imms to reward people who they see do that. But that screws people who play at times when no staff are around.

Is that numbers don't necessarily reflect risk. I wouldn't want to see an automated system that ignored that.

For example, uber-voker can walk in and blitz the defenders at little risk.

Meanwhile, someone other pair might have tried to raid against one at extreme risk. (Think raiding vs Cabdru if you want.)
