Is 7 hp gain a level normal? Seems unsurvivable 350 at hero.

Range is 7-9. And yes, walking around with no hp gear at hero you will not be particularly survivable. Luckily for you, invokers don't need to stack on much besides hp and saves.

Figure the average hp is 8, and you start with 30. So you'll have 430 natural at hero. Now let's stack on some semi-basic gear for an elf invoker:

2x ring = 40hp
2x neck = 40hp
body = 40hp
head = 20hp
legs = 20hp
feet = 25hp
arms = 15hp
hands = 25hp
belt = 20hp
about = 40hp
2x wrist = 50hp
weapon = 50hp
held = 30hp

Now you're looking at 430 + 415 = 845, plus whatever you added via trains. With some better gear you could hit approximately 1000. That puts you with more hp than most non-felar assassins and thieves, who can't exclusively gear for hp.

Considering an elf mage can easily have another 100+ HP from trains and another 100-300 from converting practices, it doesn't put them too far off from other non-gnome mages.

Mages are fragile period, you can make up for it with gear and protections if you can avoid fights and survive to the middle to higher ranks.

Are you seriously suggesting that an elf mage will "easily" have 10 trains to pump into hp, and another 10-30 trains from practices???

Put down the crack pipe pal, because that's just ridiculous.

To the original poster: yes, 7 happens a fair amount, 8 or 9 is a bit more typical. But 7 is not a bug, it happens.

Yeah, I guess my math was a little off. 100 extra HP from practices is doable unless your are a 7-path invoker though.

You get totaly 150 practices and 18 trains. You practice 1 prac/skill/spell.

As a warrior: You use about 65-69 pracs

That leaves you with: 83 pracs left, 8 trains. You use tops 5 trains (Unless you train con from dying) That's 13 trains left + 8 = 21 trains = 210hps.

Lower the number of trains you get from practices on a mage, but about 150+hps should be EASY.

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.
