#23638, "Since it is the time for strange ideas: Cabal Stuffs!"

How do you get CF back to being interesting with respect to Cabal wars?
As a semi-long term player I find cabal interactions very tedious and somewhat boring. So I thought about this for a bit and hope it is not too farfetched.
1. Make all items crystalline and wearable or useable as a weapon. Of course this makes theft of the item a bit more difficult but not impossible.
Examples: • Crystal Sceptre of the Scions is a weapon of great strength with magical attacks. • The Crystalline Skull of an ancient Magus which powers the Village when worn increases the potency of all magic used by an individual including items.
2. Make the items increase a Cabal’s potency if held by an enemy cabal.
Examples: • Crystal Sceptre of the Scions makes the magical type powers of a Cabal stronger or in the case of the Village increases their resistance to magic. • The Crystalline Skull of ancient Magus enhances the resistance to enemy magic of the cabal who holds it.
I really want to find a way to enhance Cabal interactions and to have a reason for more battles to develop between the different Cabals. Even those not of a Cabal will find the Cabal items useful… ie Orcs.
Nexus has all sorts of options with what to do to ensure balance as well since by giving a specific Cabal item to a specific enemy Cabal can try to restore some of the imbalance in Thera. This means that they have to be able to give an Outer the Cabal item but that seems like a pretty nifty idea to me and as well as seems to work with their ideology.
PS Of course items immediately return to the Cabal if you log off wearing it. Sheesh people do not get your nickers in a knot!
Cheers, The Psycho Uncle.

...and maybe the Scarab cabal, the two cabals that really don't derive any benefit from taking items.
I think with every item taken, the orc territory should increase, and if they manage to get all the cabal items, a huge orcish horde army appears at the outers of every cabal, attacking any that approach.
