#22735, "Elemental Flaws"
|
I saw one flaw that dealt with a particular race, but wouldn't it make sense and be easy to make elemental vulnerability flaws available to all characters? Not sure of the current popularity of flaws, but my current character role would benefit from a flaw like fire. Also, allowing some of the flaws inherent in some other races would be useful, too. Maybe not iron vuln, but a blunt vuln. Here are some examples:
Arsenphobia - fear of fire, tendency to burn easy Hydrophobia - like many races have, but applicable to non-drowning phobia races Severe Anaemia - bruise easily (blunt vuln)
There are a plethora of roles out there to accommodate more flaws than are available, and since we're all a bunch of greedy, edge-hungry bastards, more flaw choices equals, eventually, more edge choices.

Easy, sure. I'm not how much sense it makes.
I can buy a felar that burns extra easy because he's got exceptionally thick, dry fur. But why does an elf burn that easily? I mean, is he made out of kindling?
The other factor is, part of the reason thick fur is the flaw that it is is that a lot of people will know to gun for your felar with fire attacks. No one would really know that about the hypothetical elf, so probably a similar flaw for non-felar would be a lot 'cheaper' in terms of edge/flaw credit.
