#22641, "battlemage training"

How useful is battlemage training to a shapeshifter? I've noticed that some forms use the second attack skill, so I'm sure it would help out with that. But what I'm wondering about is if it helps out with form-based skills, especially those form-based skills that are also class-based.

Form-based skills that are also class-based? I'm not sure what that even means.

Well, the one that comes to mind right off is I see dire wolves using TRIP. So does battlemage training help with trip? If there are other shifter skills that are also class skills, would it help with those too? I think organgutan has pummel or something, doesn't it?

It doesn't.

When you made an edge that encourages mages to use lash, was this a masochistic thing or have you been rolling villagers lately?

Add to list of things to do...check all classes that use lash...rangers too.

Actually, it's probably by design. 99 times out of 100 that's the case.

Do you think there's any way you could make the help file for this edge a little less vague? I'm gathering from the responses on this topic that battlemage training improves your chances for lash. But that came from a player, with the only response being a humorous one, so nothing to confirm if it's accurate. It would be nice to have a better idea of what it does, given that I saw a post elsewhere by you stating that it does not help your defensive skills at all.
