Would someone mind giving a list of where weapons fall in terms of hardest and easiest to parry and parry with? I cannot seem to find anything in a search.

The attacks from an Unholy weapon are considered elemental? Does magic protection such as good save v spell help against it?

Thanks

It's hard to give a succinct and correct list, because weapon type vs. weapon type matters. Maybe flail parries daggers better than sword does but sword parries whips better than flail does. (I made that example up.)

Nonetheless, the two handed weapon types (staff/spear/pole) tend to parry the best, dagger and whip tend to parry the worst, and everything else is somewhere in between.

I like to think I have a fairly solid grasp on the mechanics of playing a warrior and staff/spear and polearm always make me cringe. Yeah they each have some utility that makes them worthwhile but as stand alone specs they just have a really hard time competing without the aid of cabal powers or legacies. To me the defenses don't make up for the lack of damage output you loose with dual wield unless maybe spin or distance could act like evade. I dunno I wonder if any ideas about trying to balance the melee of these weapons for individuals specialized in them has been considered.

the introduction of spin and distance for non specs went a long way but the specialists could use some lovin I think.
