Am I correct in thinking that this legacy only comes into effect when you are fighting groups? Besides the occasional extra parting blow, if you are fighting one on one, you do not get a free round of whacks everytime that person flees, right? Anyone have any input on this legacy?

Why did Narclarn complain about this legacy being a waste? Your comments made me consider trying it out, however, I definately will not now that he had such bad things to say about it. What's your opininion on this?

Nope! Although it will certainly shine the most when fighting groups, and the function of it that you're talking about isn't relevant while fighting one person.

Thank you for the answer. It does leave me wondering about the legacy. I haven't been able to find out much about it, and your answer leaves me thinking there is a bit more to it than the little I've been able to find. In the help file it mentions something about warriors being "so furious with battle frenzy". Is this what you are refering to? It looks like a curious legacy and one that probably has potential, but, I don't even fully understand it. I know the best thing to do is to play it and find out, but, I just don't know if I'm willing to take a gamble on a legacy choice right now. That's why I asked here. Thanks again!

It'd be helpful to know what type of character it would work well for. I'm not sure, reading the helpfile, that'd be abundantly clear to me. It seems like its an extra parting blow but based on your post it seems like it does something else too. Is this something you'd take as a pole spec? Or would it be equally good for any char who can deal a lot of damage? Or is it good for anyone who will go up against groups? Etc.
I'm sure its probably useful but given the helpful I probably wouldn't ever take it with a character because I'd be unclear on how useful it would be.

I'd say... it's a good pick for any character who tends to see his enemies flee/word/etc. out of combat a lot, especially if they tend to get in a lot of solo vs. group or group vs. group fights.
In practice, I've most frequently watched characters fight and thought "Wow, that guy really should have picked Typhoon" when they're characters that put out a lot of damage and have a lot of opponents they can't lag well. Most Battle scouts who use critical hit a lot fall into this category, some berserkers do, Empire warriors who pack on the damroll and aren't afraid of non-gang fights, etc.
I totally agree with what you said in that post, though -- I've had warriors that really should have picked this legacy instead of one of the ones they had, but it wasn't always clear to me until near to hero and seeing how the mix of their fighting style and their typical enemies shook out.
Edited to add a missing 'can't' in that second paragraph.
