Are there certain edges that you can only get from certain types of things?

For instance if I do a lot of PK and I accumulate edge points, will there still be certain edges unavailable to me because I didn't get imm awarded RP XP? Ditto for commerce and exploration.

I ask this question because I'd imagine to get as many charges as Ravon did he must have done a TON of PKing (I just came back from a break so I never actually got to see Ravon in action), which would lead me to believe he accumulated a decent amount of edge points for that, yet he still complained about not being able to get certain AP edges, even though he did in fact still get 2500 in RP XP.

So yea... are there "classes" of edges or is everything even all across the board?

Yes, a small percentage (< 5%) of edges have imm-xp or commerce-xp or observation-xp as requirements.
