#19617, "Title idea."
|
So help me flesh this out some if it is worth pursuing.
Allow heros to choose their final title, disregarding any immortal appropriate titles, by selecting from their respective class-specific titles from 1-51 (or 11-51 or whatever).
So I could be Mr. Ap the Fist of Darkness, the Slayer, the Hated, or the Knight of Apolalypse.
Or Mr. Bard the Student Historian, Elegast, Rhymer, or Chronicler.
Or Mr. Druid the Force of Nature, the Lord of the Beasts, or Spirit of the Tress.
And so on.
Just a way to personalize the character at hero. Maybe base the criteria off of hours played, immortal experience, or just default it to everyone. I don't see it being easily abused. Most characters that make it to hero aren't going to choose something foolish, and even then, not many general titles are goofy to begin with. Players have invested quality time into their characters to reach hero.
So.
'level' might display all the available titles.
'level 44' would make your hero title be that title.
You can only choose once. Or you can choose nothing and keep the default 51 title.
Thoughts? Bones?
Thanks.

People who just pad their pk ratios would give themselves good titles, instead of crappy titles.
Imms at least catch a few of these, which acts as some kind of deterrent (although others get rewarded).
Also, I don't see that an individual's reputation should be stated by that individual.

Don't have a problem with that, really.
Might even be amusing to see who thinks of themselves as a "Slayer" instead of a "Bully".
