#19436, "Descfreeze"

What if we had a command to freeze your description? That way as/if you change your characters appearance as you age, you can see it reflected in the PBF? Maybe allow it once per age category, perhaaps with an echo and a free change thrown in when you get major life changes like a tat or becoming?

Then looking at the PBF for characters who change their appearance with age, you can see the progression instead of just the eld result?

I have to admit I get my rocks off changing my descriptions up as my characters get older. I love old age descs the best .

One thing I think you can do is save your descriptions manually and reply to the desc part of the PBF (including the descriptions within) once it gets published. You might need to notify an Imm to get it to show up.. That's ghetto, but something at least.

I'm not the PBF guy, but some version of this sounds cool to me.

I usually will go through anywhere from 3 to 5 descriptions per character as they age, but sometimes I wonder if I am just mentally masturbating.

I don't think so, I had an imm comment on it as Landren so I don't think its a waste. Some apparently notice.

Landren didn't have an uncool bone in his body.

It seemed like he didn't have a facet that hadn't been polished to a fine sheen.

To clarify: That'd make me want to read everything I could about him

That's what happens when you think about a character concept for about six years before you get up the nerve to play it.

My new challenge is to create a character that is part drudental part josiah with a dash of amber. Wish me luck!!

It's like the spawn of Sylar and Cruella DeVille. Except you're not distilling pure evil... that's a recipe for the purest, most vile assholery ever.

I salute you.
