#18100, "Some sadistic flaw ideas"
|
I was just going off the primary senses. I think these could make characters a lot more interesting. Some would be difficult in the extreme, if not impossible to function well.
Deaf- obiously, can't hear. No cb channel, no tells etc.
dumb- Can't speak, but can hear channels, yells, says, etc.
blind- perma blind, this is that difficult in the extreme one. Maybe make it so they can still follow a group somehow or something.
numb- no affects list

It'd probably be hard to code,

I think there should also be one that makes the char more susceptible to the various illnesses (i.e., flu, AIDS, the clap).

I actually rolled up a character with this flaw in mind-- the constantly coughing frail mage sort of thing, et cetera. I was thinking for some reason the sickly flaw was what you speak of, but no dice.
I would actually like to see more flaws. Perma blind might be a bit over the top though. While we're at at, we might as well throw in paralyzed. Aargh.

someone could make a herald or something, and be completely bitch ranked to hero. Mage or assassin would be even cooler. I admit it would be very very niche, but could be damn cool.

Since you'd have to change the way a lot of things work (i.e., eating, drinking, following, wearing, wielding). I might do it later in life, like at hero, but getting to hero as a blind person would absolutely suck. You'd also pretty much be hardcore pk bait.

You say 'b-b-bring it then.'
You yell 'Help! Bullyguy just attacked me!' Bullyguy's smash *** DEMOLISHES *** you! Bullyguy's smash *** DEVASTATES *** you! Bullyguy's smash *** DEMOLISHES *** you! Bullyguy's smash *** DEMOLISHES *** you! Your useless thought of flailing misses Bullyguy. You deliver a blow of deadly force! Your useless thought of flailing misses Bullyguy. Your useless thought of flailing misses Bullyguy.

Bullyguy stifles a laugh as you think of bashing him. Your thought of bashing misses Bullyguy.
Bullyguy's smash === OBLITERATES === you! You have been KILLED!!
