#17856, "Cabal-Specific Flaws"
|
So hey, is there any plan to introduce cabal-specific flaws like "Pansy Deathblow," "Schizophrenic Bonding," and "Checkered Chameleon" at some point (just to give a few examples)?

It's not really on my list, although I can see the appeal to some degree.
For the most part, if I'm running a cabal and I think you're a ####up or have lost sight of the purpose of the cabal, I'm just throwing your ass out rather than crippling one of your cabal powers.

I agree there, for the most part, but also, giving a flaw (with an understanding that there is a chance to get it redeemed) for a cabal ability might give the character a hint that he/she needs to improve. Also, by and large it would have the same effect as tossing a character, to some of the more volatile players out there. They'd just flip out and rage delete, most likely.
Also, I originally meant that these could be player-chosen as well as Imm-given. Who'd want to do that, you ask? The same people who'd take flaws anyway :-p.
I really like the idea of a pansy deathblow that changes the damage noun to "slap" or something. Hehe...that'd be great. Imagine if you got killed by it!!
