#17710, "Demons demon demons!"

Maybe it's a good idea to put in the help file what you need to do to keep each demon happy?

I doubt it would be worth it anyway.

I've had many evil hero conjurers (not recently) and i've never had such a problem with non-agro demons turning on me well before the bind should wear off.

Sometimes you need to conjure a demon and walk around, do stuff.
You can't be killing specific mobs.

Only while levelling did i have no problems. But outside of levelling, they are virtually unplayable.

I've had a non-agro demon turn after 20 tics, you could spend that time hunting someone, walking around, cabal stuff, waiting for nighttime to gaunt etc. I just cant see how a demon is playable in these cases.

I choose Evil neutral for a reason, so i could use both demons and devils. I recommend people stick to Evil Order.

Basically, neither demons nor devils are going to be happy with you just ####ing around doing nothing for an extended period of time.

That is of your choice, it's your game.

But there will be one less kick ass hero conjurer for enjoyable snooping.

It's really a shame after not playing for over two years, on my return I see a wealth of new and exciting changes to the game.

And I managed to find myself scoring the one really stupid change out of so many good ones.

Having wasted already so much time, because the first two conjurers I made had the devilish IMP. I do not know whether its worth it. Especially with such low player base during my prime time.

If you can't keep your demons/devils happy you're not going to be a kickass hero conjurer. It doesn't take anything to keep them happy. Some like corpses to eat and others like weapons. So turn off autosac and plow through some low level mobs that have weapons. Voila...happy ####ing demons.

Now keep it moving and quit your bitching.

Heh, it isn't really that easy. I anticipate demons/devils turning on me and just kill them at the end of the binding most of the time.

I could see why Raz is annoyed. Outside of ranking (even while actively pk'ing people), demons and devils will turn on you like 2/3 bindings.

My last evil conjie turned me into a pro at servitor killing though, its the only thing that prevented me from mob-dying three times a session.

1) Evil conjurers aren't weak. Recent example: Kanaev.

2) If we at some point decided to make the servitors easier to manage, they'd also get weaker.

3) Imp isn't all that bad anymore.

times to angry devil/demon types, I kinda feel he got his CON quest. He also hasn't really been looking for one, as far as I have seen.

You could argue with 30 extra deaths, he would have never made it to where he did. If one of the best evil conjurers had to rely on nofollow just to make it to hero, don't you think something is wrong?

Dont get me wrong.

I have no doubt I would rock the boat with another evil conjurer.
I simply have decided not to play because of the annoyance.

If you are thinking about playing an evil conjurer for the first time you might not mind because you never knew it differently.

I remember having a bitch when i first worked out the specific situation were a friendly devil can turn on you. But as I am prepared for it, I dont mind this code. Maybe I should accept change better

But seriously the amount of times my wife interupts me, i want to be able to look away from the screen from time to time and not get wacked by a "friendly demon".

Randomness hurts the control freak

There's an Edge which you might find useful to gun for in this situation. Murderous Reputation, or something along those lines.

It makes sense all around, don't know how hard it'd be to code (like adding it to consider or something) and it'd be a great edge.

Just something along the lines of
'xxx looks satisfied.'
'xxx looks agitated.'
'xxx looks very restless.'
'xxx looks thoroughly displeased.'
'xxx looks back at you with murder in it's eyes!'

Way I figure it, it's rare they'll look really happy. After all, they've been summoned to a foreign plane to do someone elses bidding. But you could toss 'looks pleased' on top. I imagine that it's not as simple as hitting xxx value and having them turn, but you can imagine the further down the scale you go - the more dangerous having them around is. You take the risk for the gain but at least you're somewhat aware of the risk now.

You can gauge this pretty well already by the servitor's responsiveness.

He was smart enough to know to use it, and likely knew the 'bug' already and made plans in using it. Had that changed, do you think his character would have completely crumbled, that being his only crutch in getting to where he got ?

I doubt it. If that option was not available to him, I'm quite sure he would have used a different tactic to live through those 30 deaths somehow.

But if you're not doing anything, what makes you such a kickass conjurer that the staff would want to watch? If the demons and devils are bored with you, the staff would be doubly so.
