Could the mud output for autosaving not be green? Any color would work, but it possibly might make it easier to scroll up and see where the last autosave went by after a crash.

Not really worth the effort though if it was to take more than 2 minutes. *shrug*

Well, firstly I'd have to say I generally dislike the idea of having any more color.

Ok. I also telnet to CF from work sometimes (needless to say, it should look like I'm watching logs or something on the server, so no color hehe).

Simple solution: I set scrollback buffer to like 32000 lines, and clear it only manually when I need to. Ususally when it starts to bog. If something happens, I know how to "select all;copy;paste in notepad;search <string>". Wouldn't that work? All my logs are saved in a similar manner, by the way. Old school, heh.
