This thought process was sparked by the whole changes that were hinted at for angels in the immune exploit post...
Basically my idea is to give demons and angels two options. Offense and Defense. Angels will no longer rescue.
It's like this, depending on alignment, angels leap in front of blows and spells aimed at their conjurer while in defensive and demons are forced to do the same by the will of the conjurer.
When set to defensive, neither will use offensive spells/communes When they are in offensive, they stay the same way they are currently.
While in defensive, they have a 50% chance to try to block a spell and 75% chance to try to block a blow. If they try, they still have a chance to block, half-block, or miss the block.
If they fully block an attack, it is blocked. If they fully block a spell, they take it on themselves. If they half block a blow, the conjurer takes half damage and servitor takes the other half. If they half block a spell, including breaths, the conjurer takes half damage/duration. If they miss, the conjurer takes damage like normal.
Think it would make both angels and demons more versatile and preferable in a lot of situations than an archon/devil.
