I suspect this would be an annoying problem to fix, but here it is: PC's who summon a mass of mobs to stand around their inner guardian to be hit by area attack spells create a defense that lasts long after they log off. While I can understand the strategy while they are online, this is like a healer granting a permanent sanc to the Inner even after they are gone.

And yes, I know how to get around it if you have the right combination to raid, but it seems like a little unbalanced to allow what amounts to a semi-permanent defensive net.

What about coding a reset for Cabals that clears all non-cabal mobs on a regular basis, maybe once ever 100 tics or so.

Just an idea.

My question is why are mobs even allowed in cabals. Wouldn't the guardians, Cabal NPC, etc. run them out? Take the village for example, I had two peacekeepers from Voralian follow me in one time when I was wanted. Is that a big deal for a villager, no, not at all, I swept the village with their pansy asses. But why would the giant even let two lowly peacekeepers NEAR the village walls when a full fledged magistrate can't even get a tour. Aren't you usually afforded more perks the more famous you become? Their meeting might go something like this.

Peacekeeper: Uh, excuse me badass giant, we're chasing a criminal that came in here, we're going to try and kill him, by the way, he's one of your brethren in the war against magic, we'll only be a minute.

Giant: Sure, no problem, just make sure not to wake any of the other barbarous bad ####ers that always defend eachother to the death with your screams of "Villager, now you die!" Have a nice day and be sure to stop by Grime's place for some tasty venison.

And the heavy armored dwarves in the chasm. Wouldn't any self-respecting supposedly bad ass dwarf in all of Thera go ape-#### if he found himself in the chasm? Wouldn't that be a blow to their racial pride and honor? Maybe make it so certain mobs do go ape#### when they find themselves in the place of their enemy, and certain ones don't have that big a deal with it. NO mob should be able to walk past the guardian into any cabal ever. But hey, just a few thoughts.

The major balancing factor to me has always been that a cabal with a summoner is generally as likely to have defenders that want to use area spells/songs as it is to be attacked by people who use area/spells songs. Summoning mobs is great in the short term if you don't have those people and your enemy does, but I've seen countless people killed by mobs summoned by their own side.

How about after something ridiculous, like 200 hours game time, those mobs just up and say "I'm done with your cabal, I'm going home" and poof. It's really annoying when you have to figure out where a summoned or tracking mob went off to. It's almost entirely unfair that they can just be left in cabals, what with the infrequency of crash/reboots.

Let the mob go? After tons and tons of time? Like a quasi-repop...
