#13115, "Make Thrym a sentinel."

I'm serious, it sucks dying to him at level 19, even when you're invis, simply because you want to move through a high-traffic area like Balator as a mage.

Remedies? Maybe if you have more than 200 hp, which you don't necessarily have. You shouldn't be punished for choosing a mage class in that regard.

I agree that Thrym probably shouldn't be able to put himself in a position where he aggros on newbie mages (and by newbie I mean "new player" not "low level"). I think a mob warning mages when they enter Balator makes sense as well. I don't want to make Thrym a sentinel mob, or keep him stuck in his school, though - he's part of the charm that is Balator.

Just FYI, currently Thrym won't leave Balator, so you won't be finding him on the Eastern Road.

Maybe a hiding mage or something.

I know you aren't a newbie. "Where Thrym" is not a command you get at level 30. However, with all that being said, I think it's detrimental to the fun stick. Balator is where a lot of n00bs get dragged for ranking. I for one would think CF to be horribly unfair to die to such a ridiculously aggro mob at such a low level. Especially if I were new to the game.

I was wondering this myself, since he can be pulled quite easily to the Eastern Road, at least he could and I assume still can, he should perhaps be made to stay inside his school and for a lowbie, maybe have a warning like "You feel as though your magic would not be appreciated in here." when they get near it or something. Might be nice for the newbies who don't know about him.

There are already mobs that hold you back if you try to go in a direction that could be harmful, and give you a verbal warning. Maybe there needs to be a mob that holds back rank 15 and below one time, and gives them a verbal warning that proceeding could be very dangerous. Maybe even say Thrym's name, so they know what to look for.

How about a beaten-up mage at the entrance to Balator that speaks to you with "say", sort of like the guy at the entrance to the Cemetary in Galadon.
