#12561, "PSA: Veteran Creatures"
|
When an NPC becomes a veteran (or more of a veteran) it heals a small percentage of its maximum hit points in the process. (Effectively, the new hp it's gaining come in 'full.')
This generally means little, unless of course someone happens to die to the same NPC about six times in a row when it's about 100hp from dead.
Just in case anyone was curious. My god, what a bloodbath.

Yep, the King's new tricks combined with the changes to voker shields a year or two ago make it necessary to fight him as a ghost if you want to kill him. I don't see anyone getting his trinkets again anytime soon... unless they're seriously suicidal.

Not that much changed, honestly.
I've seen people take him down in the last year without deaths and with relatively minimal resources, and literally nothing about the ways I saw that done would be hindered in any way.

There was a large change in the # of helpers he summoned and what could be done to encourage him to summon more. I have heard this is a change back to the way he was however long ago, but I think however long ago invoker shields cast on others could not be overloaded. Perhaps it was too easy to kill him a couple weeks ago. Two people usually could do it if they played their cards right & were the right combo. I can easily see reason to make him tougher. I only would recommend that there be some cap on the # of helpers he brings.

It's not, in fact, a very large change, unless you're killing him a certain way, which last night's group was.
I'll say again, for the way I've seen many people do it, there would be NO change.
Beyond that I'll let you play with it and figure it out.
