#12529, "For Nepenthe: Fires of Adversity"

I thought I had low expectations for this legacy, but still could not help but be *highly* disappointed.

I had done ton of forums searches and had read a lot of positive feedback, but can not help but wonder if the others were on illegal substances

Being in so many situations where I could not notice a difference between the last rounds of a fight and the earlier rounds even with over 1600 hp, boggled my mind. There were several fights where I got hit every single attack between 0-800hp(Knowing opponents weapons perfect even). When you compare this legacy to ones like ward of blades/dance on southern winds...that work ALL the time... it seems it should be better for balance reasons as its near when most people would flee. Now I can't help but wonder how lousy ward/dance would have to be if I think adversity is so bad

Ugh, ugh, and ugh. +10damage, +200hp, and +15%damage resist legacies sound boring to me always and I LIKE to be more creative, but I hate not being able to see any noticable difference on the legacies you choose as a warrior.

*sigh* I know you'll say to go with these boring legacies if you need to see more tangible results, but I just can't understand how my choice could have been so bad. I trust your coding, so please insure me this wasn't broken and reverse coded like the whip vs. axe dodging differences over the last few years Nah, you guys are good at what you do....but once again....ugh.

and the little extra it does can be clutch at certain times. Not enough in my opinion to balance out the suckiness of the defensive improvements but well thats perhaps the reason they are not way better then ward/dance/autumn.

And in response to the original question, I looked at Fires not too long ago and it seemed pretty reasonable/good to me.

that healed me up to 200hp when I was stunned by poison back in the day. And yes I am sure it wasn't a pc healing me.
