Before anyone says anything, yes I know rangers and orcs can already butcher corpse.

Here is my idea, say you are out in the wilderness and you run out of food. I think a warrior would and few other classes would know how to hunt for their own food. So they could kill a deer or rabbit or any edible animal. Then start a fire(lags like 1 tick), then type cook corpse(lag another 1-2 ticks). Then depending on the size of the animal they slew they would get food for it. Like a deer might give like 9-10 deer steaks or something. Takes like 4 of them to get full.

Just my 2 cents. Posted it here cause I didn't know where else to post it.

When I rewrote the northern foothills..I put a couple mobs in there. Deer and bear. With flanks of steaks in their inventories that only appear when they are dead. I honestly wouldnt think that this would be an awful thing to add in to countless areas with animals...et al... if it were something that was an issue.

Anyone else think this is a GREAT idea?

Then maybe those skills need to be reconsidered? I mean, is it really that unlikely that most adventurers would know how to get at least a small amount of meat from a corpse?

Rangers are still able to get steaks that others won't get.

Additional benifit.

How would it make those skills useless. The skill I am thinking of would be used when the dire need for food crops up and would consist of a fair amount of lag involved in preparing the food. So butcher would still rock its world.

Or to even simplify it just give everyone butcher but have it lag for non-rangers and orcs. Say 1 tick for warriors then maybe 2 for mages, 1 and a half for priests.

I like those, wouldn't mind seeing a few more of them, if it was only a few. I am definately not in favor of every area having mobs like this. It should remain just a nice exploring perk.
