#11179, "More morale thoughts"
|
Here are some more tweaks that I think would make morale more meaningul, forgive my ignorance if some of these are already implemented.
Have morale positively influence learning rates, especially while in a group.
Add (more?) +morale preps
Similarly, +morale gear
Morale should affect haggle
I'd like to see high morale give warcry, berserk, frenzy, crusade, and similar skills a modest bump (maybe +1 hit)
The vanguard legacy should give a permanent +morale effect that also affects party memebers. All morale benefits should be increased for people under this effect.
Bards with high morale should sing at a greater effectiveness (less effective with low morale)

More of that in the future. Once we have the existing food priced consistently, it opens the doors for more 'enhanced' foods which provide extra benefits for extra price. Similar things have been created for wines, etc. as well, and will be working their way into the game as people find time to add them.
It'll create some options where you didn't really have them before. Maybe you pack some fancy-ass morsels for a big ranking trip. Heck, maybe you gear a little differently (dozens of +morale items exist, some of which would be wearable without the +morale), especially if you aren't there in much of a hitting/tanking role (healer, transmuter, etc.).
All for the right price, of course.

There's a lot of +morale gear out there, enough to gear for it if you want'ed to be the happiest clam. But if you're having trouble finding any, check out the shops in smaller towns off the beaten path. You know those local artsy-craftsy types put more love into their work.
