#11012, "Imm Opinion: Giving items to cabal healers."
|
While searching through some archived logs (Thanks Dioxide) I noticed that some contained comments like "Sac'd his gear, gave X (x=some powerful magical or evil item or whatever) to the cabal healer".
Now this does not seem appropriate. For example, why would the Battle healer want to hold the most powerful magical item in Thera? Why would the Destructor want to stand in its presence?
Now one arguement that can easily be made: Well just kill the healer when you raid.
While this is valid, most of the time you will just barely take down the inner before the defenders push you back and you are more concerned about making your escape. Throw in level 52+ items, role restrictions, cabal restrictions..etc..and I ask..perhaps make healers nogive and help keep more items in circulation? {SCION} the Archmage of Eternal Night: Say it.

Battle is the only cabal I really see doing this with any regularity, and ironically, they're the one cabal I would never consider doing it with. It's not their smartest move.

That would require ragers to walk outside of the five normal areas they visit, heh.

People should really be giving that stuff to me.
*ba dum bum*
I don't have much on this but to say that nogive seems too restrictive to me, and while I could see certain mobs refusing certain kinds of items, the next logical thing for me is to look at whether they take them for bartering and should those two things have an interaction.

I did not realize that nogive had an impact on bartering..makes sense though..so that could pose a problem.
Guess it's just one of those things then. {SCION} the Archmage of Eternal Night: Say it.
