#10993, "new legacy idea"


          

Name of the legacy might be something like The Eye of the Storm and it would be a berserk legacy which is centered around finding focus to enhance and better control ones rage. Some Ideas for things it could do.

Remove the Penalty to skills from berserking
Increase stats from berserk
Add resist magic
Add resist mental
Cut the timer in half
Improve the healing from berserk
Improved healing rates while berserked


personally I think it would be neat if you reduced the timer on it and removed the skill penalty from it. It would give a completly different and unique avenue from other legacies and you could fiddle with the timer length to balance it out. Kind of like almost having a really expensive bindwounds and you don't suffer penalties from having berserk up except for the ac penalty.

Warriors are at the very bottom of my priority list for new content. We keep an eye on existing content for balance reasons, but I don't see a need to focus on adding to warriors any time soon.

Increased mana regeneration (you can couple it with something else if that's not enough).

I am specifically thinking about Battle Defender here - this is the person who, as warrior, constantly needs more mana.

Orcs already get something similar. This is not something that warriors should get in the sense that it goes against two classes getting something relatively similar to that.

Plus, even more versatility is not something the most diverse class in the game needs.

I am aware of orcs berserk bonus and the idea is different, instead of more uncontrolled rage the warriors learn to get all worked up but stay in control thats why i would like to see it last not as long and take away the -10% skill penalty I put out the other ideas as well just that some other ideas to toy around with.

It doesn't strike anybody else as odd that we have 36 legacies adding spice to almost every single warrior skill including 2 for warcry yet none for berserk I think it would make more sense if they just took the 0 timer effect from cry and put it on berserk but thats just me and yes that would be infringing a lil in orc territory.

*NEW* items rarely seem to be thrown in one at a time to something like legacies. Though, the idea is kinda cool enough. Personally though, it almost seems like something that could be influenced in another legacy...like Fires of Adversity could be as fitting as a semi-berserk legacy. As you take injuries, you focus more and more so that instead of just the combat bonus I *THINK* you get, it might be a more rounded benefits.

Of course, I'm just randomly BSing ideas, and in no way expect the Imms to use any such ideas. Which makes it all the more fun if they do
