Please Immfolks could emotes tagged onto: stand, rest, sit please be made into stances so they stay in place till you take your next movement action?

It would make for more atmosphere when praying, cooking, or generally roleplaying.

You can just do this manually, by typing in "rest kneels down and prays." and then "stand rises from his prayers." If you want you can even bind it to aliases on the client side:

#alias prayerk {res kneels down and prays."
#alias prayers {st rises from his praying."
#alias rest {res plops down on the ground and takes a break."
#alias stand {st gets up and slings his pack over his shoulder, ready to go.}

Or whatever fits your fancy. Provided I read your question right and that's what you're talking about...

I think he's looking for something like:

"Fred is here, resting on his haunches." until Fred next stands up or sleeps.

I think you'd need a separate command to make it work with the existing rest/sleep/stand etc commands.

I think posture command in general mud terms. Having had the pleasure of seeing Ghraccus cook at the Inn it would be neat to have him be able to set himself like so:

sit sits upon a stool carefully peeling potatoes, apples, and mangoes obviously meant for the empty pie crust beside him.

Now when you walk in you see:

Ghraccus sits upon a stool....

Billy the elf, sitting here about to kick your ass

or Billy the elf is sleeping when he is standing. think of how easy this ability would be to abuse vs the real gain. mentioning it when sitting and standing should be enough and give imms less headaches

I guess there could be a way if you would put in

'stance is sleeping here.' you would get a message saying you cannot do that.

I shudder just thinking of the possible abuses that could come from this.

Also, stringing that long description has been used as a reward for people in the past, albiet infrequently.

This is a roleplaying tool and situational not some title.

People abuse emotes all the time and this is just a *standing* emote which remains till the character changes position.

As for sleep, there are socials that work with sleep so no need to have a *standing* emote option for it. And if some moron emotes sleeping while awake it is the same BS that people do with emotes to have them humping your leg or worse. It may happen a bit but eventually people will get over it and move on.

I figured it would fit in with the evolution that CF has been undergoing lately to embrace roleplaying and create a CF specific atmosphere. I love the changes to places that were story based and I know there is a long way to go on that. I wince every time I teleport into the Whitecloak camp and not only because it is usually insta-death for me.

It would be cool to have more options for emoting when roleplaying but definately not at the cost of focus put on new areas, class revamps, or other supercoolness.

Along the same lines are 'rest <emote>' I'd like to see 'eat <object> <emote>'

Saith eats a piece of bread and brushes the falling crumbs from his shirt.

That would just be groovy.
