#10840, "heavy vs. light weapons"

Figured I'd press my luck since I got a straight answer out of nepenthe on the practice thread...

Assuming identical weapon type, "handedness" (1 vs. 2), and overall hitroll of the person attacking you, is a heavy weapon harder to parry than a light weapon?

When defending, all else being equal, will a person parry better using a light weapon than a heavy weapon?

Again, the helpfile covers the main factors. If something's not there, it's not a main factor.

I don't think my question was answered in that thread. Someone said, without any qualification, "Heavier weapons are harder to parry." Nepenthe rightly responded that, "In the general case that isn't necessarily true." For instance, a 10lb dagger might be easier to parry than a 5lb axe. My question specifically asked whether weight plays a part when all other factors (including, but not limited to weapon type) are held constant.

I don't mean the above to be snotty, I just don't think nepenthe's response in that thread makes this thread redundant.
