#10752, "To be evil or EVIL!?"
|
In CF there seems to be very little option for an insiduous evil type character. Someone quietly corrupting others for her/his own gain. If you were to go about this, how would you do it and how would you manage to keep all the "detect evil" people off of your backside?
Would be neat to hear about any past endeavours into this arena.

I think you will find these to be the two keywords in this. Evil aligned characters I've played in the past typically had a way of lying and decieving their way into their positions of 'power' and 'influence'. A recent example of this would be a human shapeshifter of evil alignment I played, who ranked with good aligned characters very often. Such things are basically only a matter of setting up or manipulating each situation correctly based on what possibilities it can spontaniously offer you. Likewise, when playing a race or a class that is quite clearly evil by nature you still have other evil characters of even opposing cabals to mold, if you go about it properly.
In similar fashion, you will be able to turn others against each other for your own benefit. In a sense, situations too are nothing but tools to be wielded albeit tools of a more dynamic nature than those you hold in your bare hands, obviously. It's a matter of learning to wield them correctly just as well.
Doing such things is one of the reasons why I play evil characeters almost exclusively. It's a unique type of fun you you will only get from playing a roleplaying game that is on Carrion Fields its level of depth.
