#10042, "Hmm, does Defensive spin make this possible?"
Edited on Sat 20-Aug-05 05:42 PM

I was fighting the elite guards in Darsylon... And I was wielding a staff, I disarmed both of their weapons and I ended up learning sword 3 times from one fight. I only have me disarming one right here but they're both gone, and they're attacks still say slash. Also I learned from parrying, not even a defensive spin, so I'm semi confused.

Well, I am fairly certain that those guard's attacks turn into "punches" when they are fully disarmed. Are you sure it didn't re-wield? Since they sneak you would not have seen it pick the weapon up...but chances are that you would have seen it wield the thing.

Also, had you eaten a bad "cross kick" from the guard? I'm not sure at all on this, but I thought the blood in the face thing might act a bit like the bard song "tears", which might cause you to miss seeing the re-wield. All speculation on my part, which I am sure NepDragon can clear up.

But yes, all the elite elven guards start fights with two swords.

Warriors can, to some degree, learn weapons by tanking them.

He's saying he learnt swords as if he was tanking them, but the elf no longer had any swords.

Based on that log, I wonder if the elf did, in fact, still have one sword.

However, he is claiming it had none, and therefore he shouldn't have learnt sword whilst tanking at that point.
