I may totally fail to get over what it is in my mind, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I have been thinking of a skill thats in my mind seems cool, but I wanted some feedback. Basically it would be like gutshot sorta, and I really see a thief having this skill. Most likely a thug theif skill. It would only work against someone in a heightened state, ie haste, quicken, berserked, frenzied, bloodthirsted, etc... Basically being in such a heightened state of battle prowness, you've got all these endorphins kicking and not really noticing how much you're getting hurt.(sorta like in rl, if any of you have ever experienced being in a fight, and pain seeming to become non existant.) Anyhow, in this state a deep wound is caused by a dagger, giving an echo to the affect of...in the frenzy of battle joe only slightly winces as bill's knife is deeply embedded into his body severing nerve, tissue, etc. While the fight wears on with no real damage output, it later causes severe bleeding/pain/unconciousness/total screwing of regen... when the person comes out of his heightened state..all based on rng on which affect. Of course it would be hard to land, but its affects could even cause the person to bleed out, etc. Anyhow, this is sorta how my eye of avarice suggestion started, and the imms ran with it and improved on it. Any thoughts, anyone?

I understand your idea.
What makes this a skill for the thief? There are a number of skills that do the "bill's knife is deeply embedded into his body severing nerve, tissue, etc" - gutshot, stab/twist, artery, hurl chest, and then weapons that also have a similar affect. I think if you created the skill your talking about, you would have to make those skills and weapons have the same after affect of the proposed skill.
That being said, how do you realisticly think this kind of a skill could happen? Now I understand a pillar of lightning isn't plausible in terms of reality, but if it WERE possible, it would work like it does on CF. All physical combat skills (with a few exceptions) are realistic to do in real life as well. Now lets say you and I are in a knife fight (not just because I'm Mexican) and we're both pumping full of adrenaline IE berserked. Now you do proposedskill1A - how do you take advantage of the fact that I'm wigged out in the physical sense? Lets assume that you somehow manage to twist a knife into my nerve tissue, and it doesn't hurt much (yea right) - and I do a stab/twist. We run away from eachother because 5-0 is coming. Now we're sitting in alleys somewhere, and all of the sudden I'm like HOLY #### I'm going to pass out from blood loss, and this REALLY hurts! You, on the other hand, have the same pain and blood loss that you started feeling when I stabbed/twisted you. What did you physically do differently with your proposedskill1A, that I did not do with a stab/twist to create our different scenarios in the alleys?
