Didn't people used to be able to tell they were talking drunk? When did that change, to that you seem to be talking just fine?

You almost always think you're speaking fine. This is common to being drunk, certain illnesses, etc. This is not a recent change.

You're obviously not drunk enough.

In any event, in CF people 'know' their speech is impaired when they are drunk. They just 'hear' what they think they're saying, and not the actual sounds that are coming out.
