I've tossed together a little page with some basics of Mud Clients, and a list of options for you to try.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Since I've recently started playing I've been using MushClient. I've been able to set up triggers and aliases, but I am having a problem trying to set it up to gag and substitute. If anyone has any experience using mushclient can help me out here?

Thanks

Triggers are also used for that.
You can just crate a trigger and then enable "Omit from output" to get a gag and if you want to substitute you just enter your text into the "send" box and set "Send to:" to "Output".

Is it possible to set up a tick timer in mushclient?

They don't work for CF as we have a variable time on ticks, I think its 30-90 seconds but I am not sure.

TinTin++ compiles under recent versions of OSX without any tweaks as long as libreadline is installed.

I see a bunch of question marks on the page. Maybe there is a charset problem going on?

Might want to add yTin. Windows only. Supports tintin++ syntax with a few differences.

http://ytin.sourceforge.net/

Edit: oops, this was supposed to go under Zulg's post.

Its author is working on CMUD for several years already.
Basically CMUD includes all zMUD features and introduced new stuff along with modern operation systems compatibility (Vista/XP).
