I have been gone from CF for many years (1997 was the last login). Now, I am back, have read all the changes and want to get back into the game. I've always liked Sylvan so I think Outlanders is right for me. I, however, have a tendency to play very unorthodox race/class combinations. At the moment, I am considering a cloud healer. (A storm healer I considered but would like cloud for rp purposes.) I do not anticipate to seal many kills (or any for that matter), but I would like to play a fully viable healer. Having said that, I do not see how cloud giants have enough practices to be a functional healer. What am I missing here? Any advice?

You're right that being a low INT/WIS race is going to constrain your range and depth of abilities (skills, supplications, etc.). But that's what those attributes are supposed to be about!

It's a tradeoff. Compared to an elven healer, you're going to have a lot more HP, more weapon options, weapon resistance, etc. The elf is going to have more communes, a deeper mana pool that replenishes quicker, and communes at a higher level of skill.
