Code changes December 2006


*SZ* - Santa Zulg request from the Players
*BB* - Bug Board submission from the Players


General Changes
*SZ* - Dual Wield changes
--- mainhand can only be used for weapons
--- offhand can be used for weapon, light, held, shield
--- Swapping to and from a two-handed weapon should work in a single 'wield' command
--- Swapping offhands should work in a single 'wear' or 'wield' command
--- Split up the wear and wield commands. Wear is only for armors. Wield is only for weapons
--- Syntax for Wield: wield <weapon>, dualwield <weapon>
--- Optional Syntax for wield: wield mainhand <weapon>, wield offhand <weapon>
*SZ* - The Academy: Completing the Newbie Quest will now earn you a (Glowing) weapon
*SZ* - Pouch of Nourishment and Chest of Inebriation are fixed for use while in Duo Dimension
*SZ* - Added a prompt option to see the weather, %w
*BB* - Chain spells (chain curse, chain blind, etc) will no longer stop combat
*SZ* - Added a 'keyword' command, which allows you to determine the keyword of objects
- There are some rooms that you can now teleport into that you cannot teleport or recall out of

Race Specific Changes
Orc
*SZ* - Tremblefist has had an increase in health and power
*SZ* - Orcs can see (though still not change) their current wimpy

Arial
*BB* - Outfit command: Worn on wing will only be worn if the arial is flying, otherwise they will go to the inventory
*BB* - Earthbind: worn on wing will be stripped on a successful earthbinding


Class Specific Changes
Warrior
*SZ* - Dent: When an item is destroyed from dent it will do some damage

Conjurer
*SZ* - Familiars: Now have the ability to crawl

Berserkers
*BB* - Blood Ritual: Now has an echo when you can use it again
*BB* - Assemble Horde: Works when holding the war banner again
*SZ* - Orcs can differentiate between wilderness & cave/swamp sectors using %W in their prompt

Thief
*BB* - Apply Poison: Now has an echo when applying to someone who is asleep
*SZ* - Applying a poison now has a small amount of lag
*BB* - Gutshot will use the correct weapon when doing damage now
*BB* - You can no longer launch grenades out of PK

Anti-Paladins
*SZ* - Victims killed by an unholy weapon will know how many charges the A-P gained

Rangers
*SZ* - Rangers can differentiate between all wilderness sectors using %W in their prompt
*SZ* - Draw Breath now protects against inhaled poisons

Druids
*SZ* - Druids can differentiate between all wilderness sectors using %W in their prompt

Invokers
*BB* - Victims of debris in their eyes from windwall will now rub the dirt out of their eyes.

Shapeshifters
*BB* - Marshblend works in the same areas that marshdweller rangers can camouflage


Cabal Specific Changes
Fortress
- Mantle of the Phoenix: Mantle refreshes fly after an earthbind wears off

Sylvan
*BB* - Strengthen: Now works with objects made of amber and sapphire

I should put all of mine in the same post like Zulg so I look to be whoring my changes out less. Maybe next month.

Enough stat loss impacts a hand-to-hand specialist warrior's pummel and crushing blow success somewhat.

It also gradually reduces their harder-to-parry-when-fighting-with-open-hands advantage. This is also true of the assassin class's similar ability.

*SZ* - Santa Zulg request from the Players
*BB* - Bug Board submission from the Players


General Changes
*SZ* - Outfit command for low-levels will provide a held item for folks who don't know how to use a shield
- Quest command updated
--- Now shows quests you've completed
--- Now shows max level for quests that are in progress
--- When you level past a quest's max level, it will fail the quest
- Updated dozens of quests to use the new format (including some that did not use the old format)
*SZ* - Slept mobs will now show up as "Zulghinlour is sleeping here."
*BB* - Corpseguard will no longer work while asleep
*BB* - Keyword command works while resting
- Adding average number of users over the past 24 hours to the users command


Class Specific Changes
Healers
*SZ* - Adding a wear-off message for illuminate

Bards
*SZ* - Adding a resist echo for bard sleep

Necromancers
*SZ* - Failed animate dead = 16 hour timer, Successful animate dead = 24 hour timer
*BB* - Dragon breath will no longer blind the undead

Conjurers
*BB* - Can't sleep or rest while projected

Druid
*BB* - Fixing the druid shapeshifting so it decrements properly. A spent herb will allow you to freely shapeshift for the next 12 hours.

Ranger
*BB* - Fixing draw breath for storm giant rangers

Thief
*BB* - Can't use launch out of PK anymore


Cabal Specific Changes
Herald
*SZ* - Alduk the Grizzled Veteran is now peddling his knowledge in the Inn of the Eternal Star (Give him an item and some cash and he'll tell you all about it)

Fortress
*SZ* - A forge has been added to the Fortress

Grinning Skull
- Cabal items held by Tremblefist will persist through crashses/reboots
