At 7 o'clock AM, Day of Deception, 2nd of the Month of the Spring
on the Theran calendar Gunthur perished, never to return.

And I will say going into this I know that Hunters have crap for laggings.

Aimed shot won't work under water, but Flamming arrow will. *BOGGLE*

No lagging ability except lash.

Netcasting does not work for anything it seems though I had a few good ones at the end so not sure if it was looked at. I failed 2/3 of my attempts and half the successful lays failed.

I had up around divine saves and they didn't do ####. So not only couldn't the character lag but he would just eat spells.

Was getting out meleed by a transmuter... In my home terrain. Whut?

And last but not least... Wands. I went from doing UNSPEAKS to Demolshes on a Drow while using Mithril... Whut?

I've played about a bajillion Rangers so this was just another test of a different combo.

I like Giant hunters better than Dexy hunters and This character was sexy for defense.

I don't get why the Hunter (Wich should be called Archer IMHO) even has bear charge. I didn't practice it.

I'm tired so this isn't put together well.

I will just say this. If you are going to leave a group at least have the courtesy to tell your group mates what you are doing. Three times I had "Good" characters leave for better ranking, either with me, or from me. It's crap. One is a Hero elf Tiana or some such in Outlander. Dude, basicly you went OOC to power rank your character on Double EXP day, abandoning another light walker to travel with neutrals with you fellow ESL Hero who was helping us. Why am I not surprised Baerinika Tatt'ed you? The assholes always get the gold don't they?

Anyway. Gunthur was all about killing evil or anyone who commited an attrocity. Which was every Nexun... I hate that cabal IRL.

Your first ambush was using mithril against me while I was sleeping, in the water, with no protections up. I was surprised and you hit me for an unspeak. Then, you ambushed me in a forest when I had protection, shield, and aura. Big difference. You still did a demo through that, which isn't terrible.

And I'm having a whale of a time trying to find my damned wands, fwiw.

Too bad you deleted. I left everything but your coins.

I learned even more about rangers this time around. This makes... 10 between 25 and 45 and I've had them in every cabal except scion and Empire.

I had the upper hand there because I caught you with your pants down. Had you been awake you could have very well pulled something off and turned that around.

That's a HUGE HUGE difference in Damage you are taking from Vuln exploit. Further, I only managed to hit you one more time than you hit me (Not counting the ambush) while in the wilds. So this character, a Drow AP with 16 con that took an UNSPEAK and a hand full of hard hits was and able to survive and escape and then return and finish me off in such a way that preparations weren't even needed. In other words, You didn't even need the wands to finish me in the Silverwood. What they did was change the -Possibility- of me winning to an impossibility.

So if this is with SOME of your protections, what do we do when you have ALL of them?

This isn't a knock on your character. I liked you and Becalbry as enemies far more than anyone else and you won with what you had available so I'm not going to knock you and accuse you of being unskilled because you aren't.

PS I almost got you asleep one other time too. When you were going to the Dream. I was tracking you but you went in before I could. I never go in there.

Could this be evidence that Wands aren't really needed for one on one fights and are infact overkill?

Perhaps Wands could work on a sliding scale. The more people who are attacking a mage at one time (Perhaps even if they are in a group but not assisting) the more effective the shielding.

Thus there wouldn't be such a massive swing like you can see with Gunthur vs the same anti-Paladin a minute latter. It's clear he would have killed Gunthur without the wands.

It's an item.

That makes me like my idea even more! =)

Hey I got you a few ranks and we had a good time. What did you think of Gunthur over all though? He was a little different than I typically play.

Pretty fun to hang out with. Good for conversation. I laughed hard as Hell at your tattoos :p

Wish I had saved that idea for a better character. You'd be surprised at how some people seemed to take offense at a character having an actual tattoo.

And Gunthur didnt really have a good attitude. He was offered a chance to move many times.

You had a crappy attitude and you were annoying as hell. A storm giant threatening to kill an elf? You weren't RPing a character, you were just playing yourself, an ass.

You must have some serious life issues to resolve when your only conclusion as to why people don't do what you want is that they must be an ESL.

In other words you didn't give a #### about the character Gunthur, you did the math, and decided to grab your buddies and go to the Arial City to maximize x2 exp day.


Gunthur wasn't an ass he was an idealogue, disloyalty was his biggest peeves, hence his hatred of the Nexun Cabal. (And the Tattoo)

Any hoot. Your lame assed answers to Gunthur when I was being polite to you were thinly veiled ooc excuses to stick with Tiana. It wasn't even until I saw you up in Arial with them that I realized what you all were doing.

Feel free to justify why you took an all good party who was striking at the Ugruks and dismantled it to take Tiala (However it's spelled) and two neutrals and powere ranked them on Arials.

It was crap and you know it.
