Yeah, all that stuff is why I have so much respect for the IMMs that run this game. They sacrifice their whole free time, their life, basically, simply for ungratefull l'il us. There is no failing, for people who are doing more than they are required, so instead, thanks for trying.

Thanks also for being patient with my chaotic ramblings (Maran are way too serious and way too easily rattled ) and my quite apparent lack of real pk insights. Although, that got a whole lot better, and especially at the second half of Nian's life, I don't think he could be easily dismissed. Why I am telling this? Well, because you have a very large part in that. Taking me along for potion hunts and that sort of thing, being around you seeing you fight. The stuff you taught me will definitely help me along with my future characters. When I'm there, a Maran will surely be up next.

Uhm, anyway, you did a good job with Sarien and I look forward to finding you again with the next. Preferably on my side ...

Where to start,

Originally I rolled Sarien with a set of goals in mind, sort of a check list. I hadn't played a good aligned char in nearly a decade and figured I'd try to hammer it all out with this one. My simple list, most of which I accomplished was.

Get empowered
Get titled
Get a leader position
Get three virtues
Get a tattoo
Get married in game (only one I didn't manage)

I have to say, that I thoroughly enjoyed playing Sarien. To that effect, I owe a lot of people thanks. Not only my allies, but also my enemies. And of course, the IMM's.

The decision to Heroimm came to me at about 460 hrs ish in. After I had accomplished the majority of my list, I figured "what next". I entered it with all good intentions, and was quite determined to write an area. As time went on, I began to realize the scope of the project I had undertaken. With a demanding job during the day, and then the responsibility of heroimm duties after hours I often found myself choosing to neglect my responsibility to CF. I feel badly about this, and because of it opted to delete rather than let Sarien auto and quietly go into the night. In hindsight, I completely underestimated the dedication it would take to write an area.

On to goodbyes, if I miss anyone here it is because I met a ton of characters while playing Sarien, it is not out of any spite or malcontempt.

Immortals:

Baerinika: Thank you so much for making Sarien such an enjoyable character to play. We definitely had our disagreements, and I know there were many times where I am sure you wanted to wring my neck (Specifically me trying to go after oh...4 different women?). I hope I did a good job as captain, and as a priest of yours.

Iunna/Padwei: Thank you for the travels with Padwei as a Mortal, and the witty commentary in the heavens as an Imm. I actually learned a lot from padwei..the watches for example..who knew.

Thror: Meeting you in an ooc setting was awesome for me, since I played many villagers "back in the day". I hope you keep trucking!

Enlilth: Fun times, you definitely are a character. I really enjoy your personality and style, maybe I will try an Enlilth follower someday!

Daevryn: Thanks for your suggestions with my area idea, and the help in general. Also allowing me to write those 2 things I wrote for you was a nice bonus. At least something I did will be added to the game and when/if I see it I can say to myself "I did that..sorta"

Yean: Another character. I always found our conversations interesting and fun. Thanks for the suggestions with some of the mobs I was thinking up.

Marcatis: You are right, it was totally Baer's fault.

Zulgh: Although you are quiet, you are definitely a nice guy. Thanks a bunch for your hard work, and patience.

Ysal: Too bad we didn't get to hang out more, I hope everything goes well for you.

Twist: I would call you a character, but for the sake of not sounding too redundant. I will call you a zany character!

Anyone I missed, I am sorry. But I did like everyone I met up in the heavens. You are all simply good people.

On to Mortals, this will be quite long I think.

Fortress:

Humbert: I had a blast running around with you, we made quite a formidable team. I can't help but feel we've rolled together or opposite one another a few times in the past. When I reveal my past chars I wouldn't be surprised if you recognized a few.

Kasir: Honestly, I was convinced you were Daevryn's mortal. And he can confirm this, and I still have my suspicions that Daev=Isildur...how is that for rumor mongering. Needless to say well played, and good times.

Caerga: For the longest time, Sarien considered you his best bud, I really wanted to finish that quest with you. Alas, maybe in another life.

Raner: Fun times, I especially liked our verbal sparring.

Adelin: I could tell you were getting bored with playing a healer, you were quite bloodthirsty and I thought you'd do way better in a fighting role.

Ailinilia: Too bad we never hit it off, I even got a porno style dream of you from an IMM who I will leave unnamed, however I will post it under this thread.

Lortas: I liked you, at times you could definitely come off as headstrong. I think that you are or were picking up on the game pretty well though.

Unalethekai: Thanks a ton for showing me all the inns and outs of the explore area's.

Xamekan: I beleive you will go quite far, you always seemed ready for a fight and pretty competant.

Arrna: I still remember dragging you through the virgin forest hunting Kale down..too funny

Zaknifal: The defender of the innocent. Well done, keep on trucking.

Nian: Sorry to see you go, you made a good prophet.

Aeinrez: I knew you would come in to your own! good job!

I know I am missing people, for that I am sorry..However, it has been a while since I played Sarien as a mort and I must say I liked everyone in the fort with one or two exceptions.

Battle:

Woldrun: You and I seemed to have an unspoken respect and agreement with each other. Only once did you ever give me a truly hard time for haranging your soldiers.

Borkahd: Fun fights, Although I think I came out on top as far as the ratio goes

Kale: You have no idea how badly I wanted to wrath you in the face. Alas, I was a heroimm prior to you hitting hero range.

Grawshen: Awesome fights, I think you embodied what I think a village berserker should be.

Empire:

Ahtieli: Good job with empress, I have to say that I enjoyed our fights, specifically my last escape where you landed forget only to wake me and have me word. I bet you weren't expecting that...and were sure I was so very dead. Man, Silent Prayer Rocks!

Dolce: You and I had a bittersweet relationship, some respect for one another but eh duty is duty. No hard feelings

Russian elite blade #22379: good job!

Scion:

Mizheng: I think you were pretty damn good, annoying as hell and so very persistent in retreiving. You ruined many a trip I had planned by your incessant pestering of the Maran.

Flimbert: My favorite scion..mainly because I interacted with you the most. I liked your whole take on Zurcon, however couldn't help but chide you about trying to wield his sword to find out if you were worthy of his power.

Individuals:

Arriku: I had a lot of fun RP'ing the whole love bit. But in all honesty I am pvp heavy. Sarien was a terrible boyfriend, we'd be walking in the park and I'd say something like "Bad guys to kill! peace out!" hah.

Jebefeos: I so wanted to help you hero, but right around the time I became captain you stopped showing up so regularly. I hope you are having fun!

To anyone I missed: What makes this such a great game is its players, and its staff keep up the good work.

This character brought to you by:

Selfren Vandergast, The stalwart hunter of the damned
Penz the black clad samurai of battle
Panir Azzamen
Sarien Thillusen

Hah. Dude, Daevryn is so much better than I am. This is especially funny since for most of Kasir's life I thought Maktess was Daevryn. We were both wrong.

I think I fought Panir with my first maran wannabe (who never got in). Zithran. Felar pole spec.

A really good maran from my point of view, and even more impressing is that you always stuck to the paladin code. Very rare to see these days.

Our fights were not fun in the end, so i stayed away.

Good luck with your next!

That's a really high compliment! Yeah summon/light of heaven/bash is going to be incredibly rough for anyone. I suppose if Sarien/Humbert or Zaknifal/Humbert paired together and hunted everywhere a lot people will start complaining You're walking down eastern when Paladin has summoned you! - With a powerful bash, Giant sends you sprawling! - Paladin's Light of Heaven... you!

And no, I'm really not an elite player with a lot of deathful characters. I did play since a long time ago, but few of my chars were stand-out chars. As such I assure you I haven't interacted with the past chars you listed there.

I had a lot of fun fighting with/against you. The fun part about Mreash is that you never know who's side he's on

A very enjoyable character.

Panir Azzamen..

That bad-ass duergar intronan follower of yours, became a turning point in my CF career. After hanging out with you a lot, and watching how you fought, your agressiveness, and grasp of the RP style that was intronans, I went on to make followers of his myself, and I believe the killer instinct of my personal game, really stepped up. I've always held a very high respect and regard for that player (that being you) and would like to echo that once more.

Hell, I even prayed on a character years later that created with the name Azzamen, because I knew that was your last name, and no one was ripping off Panir's last name on my watch!! LoL.

So, thank you, and I hope you will continue to make these kinds of impressions, and have this same impact on further characters of mine as well others alike.

Just my two cents.

-Rogue

I just got to meet with you briefly. Though other chars of mine have interacted with you. And I've really liked you with all of them, friend or foe.

A shame IMMing wasn't for you then. Or just RL messing it up?

Thanks for setting a good example of what I had to look forward to with Maran.

Hope everything is alright.
