You know, I'm not sure how that happened either. In a sense I think inspiring competition is good for the game -- some of the best CF times I can remember were me trying to figure out how to take down some enemy of one of my characters who seemed totally unbeatable -- but not when that becomes the whole game to someone.

Well, here's hoping.

My advice: take a bit of time and just get entirely away from the game. Don't write roles, don't read logs, don't talk to CF people, etc. Pretty soon, I think, the things that are fun about the game will become stronger in your mind than the things that piss you off about it. I mean, there's always going to be some bozo ####-talking your current character (or whatever pisses you off), but then there's also always the chance to bash that guy down and shut him up -- if only for as long as it takes him to run back to his corpse.

Side note not relating to this specific post: If you're going to rant about something on the forums, please try to include as much of the context as you can. Otherwise people (well, me at least) don't really know what you're talking about and you come off slightly deranged.

I bothers me a little, but I am kinda deranged so...

I do a lot better talking in person than over the phone or the internets.

I'll take your advice though. I did have a lot of good times, maybe I can have more in the future.

Yeah, I was kicking myself over that one. I have since added in some debugging to help prevent that type of thing from ever happening again with those more generic damage skills (rake/bite/peck/etc).
