Adina (Guest)Sat 17-Nov-07 04:51 PM

#63499, "Adina is gone...Goodbyes"

My first ever Tribunal and first Hero Paladin. I have been trying to delete this character for sometime now. I was just waiting to be fed up with this character. The reasoning are:

* I am getting married within a month.
* I am going to India after 12yrs.
* I just quit my job (I have been working here for last 7yrs).
* In Spring, I start my MBA at University of Texas .
* Moving to Texas from Florida tomorrow
* Playing from the office was fun, but I wouldn’t have a computer/internet soon
* And playing 6-9hrs a day is taking a toll

Edges:

* Shield Charge: More powerful shield bash
* Shield Riposte: Shield jabs all fighters
* Striking Shield: More effective Shield Jab
* Mailed Templar: Better protection with Consecrated Armor (Didn’t know if it ever worked)
* Bladed Barrier: Shield Jab does more damage (very nice)
* Banisher of the Taint: Makes remove taint more powerful (barely failed Remove Taint supplication after this edge)

I don’t have enough money to buy my PBF, is there anyone who can buy it for me? I would love to see what I did right and where I made mistakes

Tribunals: Very nice group of Magistrates. I had only one problem with few of you. Not enough log-in time. Few times I was the only one on for the whole day. Other than that it was nice to work with all of you.

Marcatis: I liked you because we were on at the same time. I loved asking you questions, but felt like you were getting annoyed. I know you are busy, but hand-out some goodies to people. Many Magistrate work hard but don't see no reward makes them feel as if you not even watching.

Guerric: Thank you so much. After that email, I thought “What did I get into?” I also thought you be back to CF soon and I might get that tattoo or something.

Immortals: Thank you for the virtue (Hope). It seemed perfect to my playing style. Thank you for the last name. Thank you for all the fun with the Executioner.

Those two new HEROIMMs, loved fighting with you.

Pissudin: You cool. I didn’t delete because of you. I wanted to be Justiciar so bad. I kind of bothered you for it. The above are the reasons for my deletion.

Rywald: You a Provincial, show you face at least once couple of days.

Bazarov: Thank you for everything, I wish you were around more often.

Eufestes: WTH, I wanted you around more than you can think. I really liked you

Sybea: Loved you. You are the best.

Gaspar: You need to long in often. I am still confused that you didn’t keep the swords you wanted. I was not giving it to you for free.

Patick: Thank you for everything. Fun to travel/adventure. That trip to Organia was the most fun. When we all died, I burst out laughing and one of my bosses asked me the reason for laughing.

Krengrar: You should be the leader and I am pretty sure you can be the leader, but I think you just don’t want the responsibility.

Kreshak: Thank you for all the help. I don’t think I could have done without you.

Pexi: Thank you for the help to level up.

Hrefwnik: Had fun with you.

Niheriva & Fortress Peeps: Thank you for the RP & guidance

Pmurtar: Thank you for your help and RP...I like kitty

Yrillbink: I don’t know how the IMMs don’t see problem with your method. Becoming warranted when Chaos is all over and the Scales is held by Outlanders. Attacking a Pally when the light is down on the scale. You are one unique bard who is a hardened criminal.

Throkk: I hated your guts. The time I had you at convulsing and you fled, I was kicking myself for not shield-bashing you.

Danrae: I wanted to choke you few times. Loved your RP.

Ravon: I died to you like 4-5times. If I saw you in my range, I knew I would die. But after loosing couple of nice sets, I didn’t care much.

Avlak: I like you so much. Loved your RP and many times I wanted to say “thank you” but my RP wouldn’t allow that.

I know I am forgeting like many people...Remind me

Adina was a good egg, and playing a trib paladin is HARD.. Heck just being a trib is hard. People makes mistakes, we aren't perfect. Have fun. I hope you enjoyed the rp challenge of playing one of these rant magnets...I know I love them. At days end, its just a game =)
Anyway, enjoyed our interactions when Adina was young, and always
felt guilty about the way we talked you into joining then dieing on you. In the immortal words of the wise and feisty, Vlad for Teleon...
swearword the mockers, swearword them in the ear.

Best of luck with everything, Adina.

Ducktrainer.

I could tell you were new in many ways both in tribunal an hero rank, but along your journey, you did improove a lot. I wish all triunals had your dedication and courage to face odds.

You did a great job all around and know that your presence will be missed in the Spire. After reading all your life projects i can only desire you the best of luck. Have fun there and if you find a little time come back to us, I am sure you do great.

See you.

>Throkk: I hated your guts.

It's funny. I did feel that dislike coming through in an OOC
fashion. I am somewhat puzzled by it. In our early encounters I tried to make it fun for both parties, but I guess I didn't succeed at all.

I will say though, that after you let Atez bash me down in Galadon right under your nose, and then assisted him without having deputized him or later making him wanted, I did get a little bummed.

Probably just an honest mistake, but at the time I thought it a little too convenient. Especially as the two of you went to retrieve afterwards.

I will admit that I didn't go out of my way to help you along after that, but I certainly didn't feel I did anything obnoxious either.

Anyway, it is all water under the bridge.

>The time I had you at convulsing and you
>fled, I was kicking myself for not shield-bashing you.

That's how it goes sometimes. If it is any comfort, I kick myself a lot.

Good luck with marriage, MBA, moving, etc.

Maybe it's a language barrier, but if someone talks to you, at least respond that you don't understand or are too busy.

The long silences are insulting and I took them personaly as Eliphas.

Before you assume anything (including Language Barrier), remember that everybody is playing a role. I did my best to respond to everyone...I am sorry if I hurt your feeling.

I tried to add the below mentioned points to my role. There are few reasons Adina did not respond:
1. If you are not in IC, Adina tried not to respond. Example: "May I post this log in another world to view?"
2. Unless and until Adina is in an interview with an evil-char or congradulating an evil char...Adina barely responded to any evil except on "CB".
3. There were only few times I was free to sit around read stuff/helpfiles after Adina became Provincial. Almost at any given time Adina was trying to solve an investigation or talking to someone on important subject or was being called an "Asshole and Confused Paladin who protects the Evil" or trying to defend someone (including criminals)
4. After an interview if Adina sent you on a task. She will not talk to you until you have completed the task and told her about it.
5. No one will respond if you are annoying.

You made it hard for me make enemies of Tribunals, and were a great source for news/intelligence.

Good luck with real life, but don't underestimate grad school, you'll have plenty of time for mudding!

Thanks for the fun. I enjoyed interacting with you. Its always fun to have a well roleplayed paladin around...

I really got a kick out of the time you were being raided and asked me for help. When I got to town the person raiding told me that I couldn't kill you because you were his prey. Oh the irony...

Good luck with the real life plans and congratulations!

I'll take your comments as compliments and address your comment on leadership when Krengrar's 9th life is gone.

But you flagged me for attacking the captain when tribunal had the fetish, then tried to kill me as I rested west of the captain.

You had no way of knowing whether or not I was an outlander, since I didn't tell you, but you decided to slam down a warrant without any evidence. Even when my answer was "That's for you to find out", which kind of hints how you can solve your problem. But no. You just didn't bother.

Then when you knew I was an outlander (because I camoed after taking it back and continued our conversation) you still didn't remove the warrant.

It wasn't as if I'd just become an outlander. I'd been one for a long time. Then you tried to tell me I was saying "ye" sometimes and "you" at other times, and to learn to speak? Why the hell would an outlander and a bard at that, not mess with language?

So I'm curious. What the hell was your reason for placing that flag with no evidence?

This was both of your faults. I watched what happened. You decided to give the answer you gave. Flagging you and then you camoing was their proof. At that point, they should have removed it. But, flagging you was not in the wrong. Not removing it was in the wrong.

That being said, the iffy points of this character were definitely going to prevent them from the Justiciar position. But, they weren't bad enough to prevent them from the Provincial position, although, that kind of happened because there wasn't someone better for it it as well.

I think this player is still a few heroes from playing that standout character. But, I have seen a lot worse. Keep trucking, you will get it.

whos going to come rescue me when I get stuck in the avalanches now? you know whats funny? I took a trip with this one bard to show her the Vaults and I took another wrong step and I kept telling her to just wait you will show up.... But you never did usually you show up then... So I had to kill her then kill myself.

I really enjoyed interacting with you. Yes taht Organia trip was fun. I remember when You xhirathos and I went to barovia that one time. ANd I thought you were kinda new at being a Paladin then. but then all of a sudden you rush in with all this wisdom and knowledge of the game and I was definitly shocked.

You will be among the top of the missed of my allys and friends! Now I don't have anyone to rely on if I get stuck you big meanie!!! Hope to see you again in the Fields.. good luck with everything and congrats on getting married! I am engaged currently and My Fiancee is going to become a famous Cosmotologist, were going to move to California and I am going to try to become a stunt artist.. hopefully no unnessisary bloodshed there.

Have fun!
