What a ride. There are so many things I could write now. So many people I've interacted with. I'll just ramble. Bear with me or skip to the goodbyes part.

I guess I'll start with the invoker class and confess my undying love for it. I have a number of them under my belt. I posted a (little weird) faq on invokers in the summer of 2003 and found myself glancing at it in the beginning as I played Haratzi but then I learned alot of new tricks and I could write a new very diffrent one today which just goes to show the vastness of pk on cf. One thing I have to say though. Shield of Electricity. I never got to try out any of the invoker edges as I was saving up for the demielemental transcendance which I had hoped would slow or even stop the aging process, which I doubt it would but still worth a shot.

I rolled Haratzi pretty much a year ago (I guess we'll see on the PBF later) and played him to 35-36 or so without joining Scion. I just wanted a character that I would stick to (noone deletes 100's of hours of spell spammage) and I kind of did but then I lost interest a bit and played Halamael to hero (nexus druid) when the cabal returned. But then I deleted Halamael and returned to Haratzi and joined Scion and played him full time till now.

Since Haratzi is so old I got to see the fluctuations first hand in the cabal wars, ranging from Fortress dominating to battle dominating back to Fortress (during my regular playtime).

After Malics death Eshval sent a note to Scion asking who wanted to be new leaders. I didn't answer it cause I had upcomming examns and such. Then Kanaev and Edimus became leaders and that was fine by me. When Edimus eventually died Eshval approached me and asked if I wanted to be advisor which I accepted. At that time I was loosing interest in Haratzi but that really rekindled things. Kanaev died not long after and I was bumped up.

Haratzi was my first leader and even though there was no immortal interaction or questyness going on I tried to keep things interesting for everyone by having us search for an artifact to blacken the skies. We had some entertaining adventures in aran'gird, yzekon, octagonal tower and maethien. All areas that I never really explored before.

As a little note I only died once as advisor (slept by a necro then assassinated while sleeping - heh) and once as chancellor (3 outlanders).

Goodbyes
IMMS-
Eshval: Thanks for the opportunity for leadership aswell as the dark elder of the night thing which I also suspect is something you deviced.

Daevryn/Nephente: I guess you're on some lovecruise now but I have to say the silent tower is a very well made and interesting place. Gave me something to do aside from the regular prep gathering.

Twist: Thanks for the talks - you're an interesting figgure.

Khasotholas: When I rolled Haratzi I actually intended him to be a follower of you as I remembered the good times we had when I played Remaron. Then you went into some dormancy and I kept trucking. It really didn't mesh well if I would have started preaching about you once you had returned. All the same thanks for that one talk, it was inspirational. Now you know better perhaps of what I meant by using the dead.

SCION-
Kanaev: As I wrote on your thread we had some good times. As an entertaining detail I actually joined Scion quicker than I had planned just to avoid any nightgaunts from you or Baerlias.

Malic: Thanks for the induction. You were a cool guy to hang around and seemed to get alot of imm attention (yeah I'm a bit jelous). Your other shifter Crulvane inducted me when I played Haravanzoth and I guess whenever I roll my next Scion you'll be there - inducting me.

Adobel: At first I thought you died a bit too much to be an advisor but you shaped up and you were a constant presence. You kept a quiet and respectful approach to things rather than a very verbal one which I very much enjoy.

Victoria: I like your RP and I hope there are things happening with those weapons we kept getting for you. Dark-elf AP is not an easy route I imagine. My only criticism could perhaps be that you were too ... chatty over CB at times. But that is nothing compared to how well played you are.

Helivet: You weren't with us for very long but when you were you had a quiet ambience of confidence that I enjoyed. Not to mention your forms were great! We would never have been able to take out the ancients in Thar-Acacia if it wasn't for you.

Sekhuroth: A true quality cf player, ready to not just pk around and rp for rewards but to bring interesting things to the table and make everyone have a good time. I was seriously hoping for that avenue of using undead instead of the ccul'gra that you were on about. It would really have fitted Haratzis role who was concerned with the unstable nightwalkers. I had absolutely no idea where any of the items sought in your quest were and my intentions were earlier to play a necromancer after this but your task changed my mind. Just one thing. Did you have to reawaken my interest in silent tower? I have since we went there dropped some leader con into that place. Learned alot though. Speaking of that ...

Laviter: My fountain of knowledge. I have alot to thank you for. I probably wouldn't have figgured out the things you told me given how little of my lifespan was left. I suspect you'll be a very good Scion.

Edimus: I loved your character. Probably the best RP'd character I've ever had the privelege to interact with. Still have a bit to learn in the PK department. Respect.

Rhyendris: You seemed very competent and it bothered me that I couldn't interact and explore with you more.

Aomiern and Aakun: My rams. I was thinking of having a second expedition to Yzekon just to see how it would pan out with your forms. I don't regret inducting either of you.

Zentril: What happened? You showed alot for a short time pre Kanaevs death then you just stopped appearing. I'm sorry to say If I had seen you again I may very well have uninducted you.

Demizha: Died a bit too often but you were useful and managed to steal alot of kills (damnit). A pity that thing on the boat didn't work for you.

Moshacan and Surauk: You had potential and are good at pk - you just asked a little too much for help all the time. But I suspect the player behind you have learned his lession and will deliver high quality scions from now on.

Salvrazzar, Ravon and Ghrovash: You are the new breed of Scion. Keep on rocking it.

Applicants: Hang in there. I'm confident Eshval appoints a new leader soon. Best of luck.

FORTRESS-
Niheriva: Man I wished I would have killed you but in the end I sort of gave up. Fighting you became using the same old moves again and again hoping for the other to make a mistake (which wasn't going to happen). Very competent.

Olaf: Competent, it bothers me I never really focused on on trying to get you down. Once you got full maran quicksand stopped being an option and with that trapping you became neigh impossible. My plan was to get you in quicksand and stick your hands to your weapons unabling you to throwdown and stun (worked on Drakgrak). All the same you were a part of what made the Fortress dangerous.

Thoric/Gromkonk: With my gear and volley rot was never a problem but energy drain was and you quickly started using that. It could have gotten ugly if it wasn't for my 20 or so silver pills that I always kept handy. Of course if my strength was downed I probably would be unable to get them from my girdle ... Good fights.

Kyraea: Always a fun fight. Whenever you were around I had to keep that in mind and aim some web for you to lower your dex and hopefully make you miss some hurls. As an entertaining detail I managed to TODAY get some high level wands for damage output once I was silenced but I guess I never got to use them. Heh.

Enarn: Dangerously competent. I had some hickups fighting you.

The rest of the Fortress: Good fights, good fights. Alot of competent people there for once.

BATTLE-
Vhlougvang: Too bad you stopped showing. We had some very entertaining fights and I don't think I ever managed to kill you in one-on-one combat. I have some very good logs involving you that will go on that unofficial forum.

Eulinda: Aside from that one meeting we had in the mausoleum (where I thought you were a herald until you started spellbaning) we never got to fight again I think. Too bad as alot of exciting times could be had there.

Brinkmun: Scouts, ouch. Our fights were a bit one sided, me trying to earthbind you which never worked and you critting me for *** DEMOLISHES *** which was a pain even though I had 1500 hp or so. I hate flying races :|

Drakgrak: Good fights, always. To no end did it give me pleasure to kill you before you finally condied.

Taelina/Yean: Though as hell. Beccause of you I actually took the overcome distortion edge. Of course then you went on and immed / age-died. I just couldn't do enough damage to kill you. That one time I actually did manage to get you was pure luck - Yean. I'll post the log later.

Elivhree: We had some interesting fights and I take pride in that I managed to kill you. The fact that you didn't post on your battlefield thing sort of screams that you were an imm tho (but lets not get into that whole cabdru thing again), which I think Kastellyn showed everyone was cool with.

Nuekar: Man you were tough, especially with those wings.

Yuvralin: I fougth you as Halamael and you were a beast. It was no diffrent with Haratzi.

EMPIRE:
The way things were you were never in power. We often found ourself retriving from outnumbering forces in the Fortress so we had our hands full elsewhere. There are three characters that stick out tho:

Kharghurln: As I wrote on your farewell thread I respected you but we both had alot of problems with Fortress/Battle/Outlanders so they were given a higher priority. The time when me and Salvrazzar dashed into you and Niheriva fighting and I managed to get a lucky iceshards killing you felt very bad. We should have aimed for the paladin. Oh well.

Valryn: The only character Haratzi ever full looted (beccause you kept stealing my stuff and interfering in interesting pk damnit!). You were constant trouble. I forgot I could call nightwalker and druktrars even though I was bound that last time we fought which may have changed things. When I had full looted you you did jack me, bind me up and drag me to the mausoleum where you promptly had Nuekar finish me off and returned the favor. Crafty and cunning, as a thief should be. Just sucks to have things stolen (I tend to carry 3-4 rods of each kind aswell as a prep bag with -alot- of preps that I naturally forgot to wear when thieves were around).

Draktel: In a cabal that is rumoured to be ganky you went the exact opposite and I remember one time when the lot of you came raiding and I went to defend and you actually ordered the others to stand down and fight one by one. Much respect.

OUTLANDERS-
You were never a problem except for when you were camping around the village/fortress. That always ment a world of more problems for me.

Halistanis: Good fights. A power player which your title reflected at times. It is so painfully obvious who your characters are though.

Avalin: Take it easy, you die way too much.

Well then, kind of a long goodbye but there are still many that I have forgotten. Drop a reply and I'll answer it.

Some past characters:
<51 W-Elf Dru> Halamael the Force of Nature
<49 Human Hea> Remaron the Holy Father, Imperial Priest
<51 Human Con> Zerael Menzercio the Planewalker, Provincial Magistrate
<46 D-Elf Tra> Haravanzoth Ziraphael the Master of Transference
<51 Mummy Nec> Kresh the Mummy Lord, Imperial Dread Lord
<51 H-Drw Inv> Vanar Dashalath the Weaver of the Elements
<51 Human Pal> Menon Aleva the Avenger of the Righteous, Disciple of the Ki-rin
<51 Human Inv> Farion the Weaver of the Elements, Adept of the Golden Tower
<51 Human Inv> Trien the Invoker Hero
<51 Human Con> Thyladanieth the Planewalker

And many many more. See you on CF!

Regards,
Adrigon aka Karnif

A dark vortex opens within the Domain of Eternal Night, and from within can be heard a cacophony of whispers.

Without a sliver of fear, the shade of Haratzi gazes into the chaos which swirls in the air above him.

The vortex intensifies, and Haratzi's ethereal form begins to float towards the center.

His form begins to elongate and shred as it is sucked into the heart of darkness.

The Archmage glances up. "Seek what knowledge you can mage. Further our goals in the darkness beyond"

The vortex claims the last remnants of the mage who's mortal life had given so much to the Fold, and
with a sound like a thunderclap, abrupty closes, leaving an eerie silence in its wake.

Since none of the usual suspects posted them on Dio's

Haratzi was a cool customer, wish I could have did a little more than
pat you on the head on your way out, but I hadn't really interacted
with you beyond trying my damnedest to kill you as Khrob.

Look forward to more standout chars

Thanks for the echoes! Yeah, I have a log of us (and others) fighting by the Chasm on Dios. I guess I'll have to roll something new and keep providing a challenge for your grunts ;).

You know. I could never figure out how you managed to sense when I was shadowing you.. until you posted your logs At least that's one mystery solved.

Otherwise, didn't fight or interact or see each other much but good job.

Well, at least I've outlived all the Scions who kept making my life difficult. You, and Kanaev were probably my two most frustrating enemies. With all the wandage, I just never could beat Kanaev down enough, and in your case....I couldn't believe the amount of luck you'd have. You'd either have a portal already open, or shield of flames up, then when not, I'd break all the bindings...and our last rumble in the Sands of Sorrow, I figured your shields would've worn off by then, but NOOOOO. In the meantime, you and your damned quicksand. I'd either stumble into it when I didn't have detect invis up, or get dispelled, or etc. Still, glad I at least made an impact.

FYI: I ran around with you a little bit as Kresh, too. I'm sure we'll butt heads again soon enough!

Even if strength is reduced, you can still get items you're already carrying. So you can gfet the pills from the girdle, he needed to reduce your dex to lower the amount of items you can carry in your inventory.

Otherwise great char! Strange that I should be giving you advice, even though I was constantly terrified of you.

I liked Haratzi for the most part. I liked that you got people involved and tried to keep us looking for things. That was cool, I just always seemed to find myself with the scepter when I was alone and wanted to change that, so I didn't get to find much time for exploring. The funny thing is, I just found a way to where you wanted me to go. Now you are gone of course, so the goose can't dodge stuff for you, but hey, lets see what happens. There were a few times when you would tell me something, or "order" me to do something and I very nearly told you to shove it. I wasn't sure how that would go over in Scion though, so I refrained. Sometimes I'd be doing one thing you wanted, and then all of a sudden you were like, wher eare you, get here...and I'm like "Hey!" Oh well, too bad we couldn't have had more times together. It was nice to see you later on in my playing time that last time we were together though.

Good luck with whatever is next

We have had some BATTLES haha I am glad you have some logged as I stopped logging after so many hours and so many fights for the most part. We never could really get eachother in a face to face. It seemed like either one of us if close to getting snuffed would some how wriggle out of it. I am glad you enjoyed the char and got a chance to get back into it... I am sorry however that I could not be present more for the fun clashing that took place. I have just recently moved and was kinda in a funk with wireless interweb connections. I have changed the whole setup as of this week however(ran about 150feet of cat5 direct now, and got the right settings so I can see what I am typing on a 46inch monitor heh and got a wireless keyboard and mouse now so I dont have to sit a usb cables distance from the screen blind and dizzy) haha well with all that clear I will say that I wont be MIA anymore really. The new job kills some of my time but I still manage to log in 5-7 nights and aim for 1-3 hours a session.

Anyway now I am babling haha. Well played char. I felt like you sat back a bit (with the hero range scions that were all out at first) and then came to age (when you rose to leader and started really comming for fights often) I am glad I have gotten a chance to interact with a char like you kudos!

ah, and I have interacted with many of your past chars...
You are a solid addition to CF my friend.

Yeah. That was recent. I remember I didn't want you to die yet another time (hence I believe I sent you a tell about protections). I walked around in the desert fogging for a while but you should know I wasn't very thrilled about finding you so I didn't stress anything. If you want interesting pk you should get somre more wands first.

Heh, I do remember that fight..was pretty much nothing I could do while you shuttled back and forth healing and finishing me off, as the disrupts were making my movement and mana negative. But I did enjoy it, scion raids are never easy when one is about. Anyway good char and really good work with the scions, and with age-death. Seeing your past list, there were one or two that I fought with, and had great fun too. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to cross paths with you more. Luck!

Haratzi made the chasm an interesting place to be. I liked the way you got us all out and about doing things, although I wasn't able to be on for a lot of them.

I totally accept that criticism about being chatty on the cabal channel. It is something I'd already noticed myself and try to keep a lid on, only sometimes I'm not as successful as I'd like.

Anyway, nicely done. Look forward to the next.
