I had alot of fun with this character. This was my first empowerment character over 11th rank, and my first Nexite. Unfortunetly, things happened over the past week and a half that meant I'm going to be moving to Montreal for about four months, leaving in about a week.. I hopefully will have email access, but I won't have MUD access. Over that time since I found that out, I don't feel I played my role as rabidly, though I kept working at it. I may have seemed greedy, but I'm used to more of a warrior style, where you need to grab whatever you can to do well. That may have shown at times with my fighting style as well, but I tried hard to do healing well. On to the farewells. If I forget you, don't take it personally, I have a pretty bad memory, and alot of people to try to remember.
Anyone who wants to email is welcome to send to tralish@yahoo.com
Immortals:
I really had a hard time figuring out if the Immortals liked my roleplay. I got Avatar of Guerric and Holy Advocate of the Rift titles... yet I got almost no attention in terms of immteraction, even being completely ignored by an imm-run mob who came into the room I was in, with several other people. To whoever gave me that immteraction with "ask a question"... that was the most frustrating imm-encounter in history. At first I thought I was only allowed one question. My question may have seemed a bit odd, but in that context it fit... and it was 3am, and I was suddenly being faced with a situation I had never imagined would ever come up. After that, I got no further response, and that was incredibly frustrating. With all that said, I still enjoyed my character, and what attention I was given.
Guerric: Thank you tons for making me Avatar, I really enjoyed it. I hope you felt I did a decent job with it. I do wish I'd heard from you more than twice in 441 hours, though.
Vahlen: Sporial respected you, and felt he had some understanding of your style... he was stoic in his way, though Vahlen seemed more serious than Sporial. Sporial felt he *completely* disagreed with your views, from the interview to enter the Rift, on. Even so, it was good to have you around.
Divox: Sporial thought of you a bit differently than other Gods, since he knew you fairly well before you immed. He always liked you, though... and though you had disagreements, and he wasn't always very talkative with you, he liked when you checked in to see how he was, and such.
Nexus:
Sporial was extremely dedicated to the Rift, second only to his dedication to his religion. His twist on the philosophy was interesting to me, and I hope to others... I really got sick of applicants who just recited the Pillars when asked why the Balance was necessary and such things, partly because I'd actually thought of a reason on top of that, and a fair number of applicants did think of reasons of their own.
Nydeikon: Sporial always liked you, and your dedication to the Rift... you spent less time directly together late in his life, but he always liked seeing you around. You're doing a good job as an Elder, and I know you might not have that long left, but keep it up as long as you can.
Lorak: Sporial liked you too. You seemed to have Eldership thrust upon you, but you took it in stride, and silently led well... he didn't really like that you seemed to refuse to take a position in philosophical debate, but he understood your reasoning for why. You're doing a good job, too.
Fristapholin: It's nice to see you back in the Rift. We didn't spend much time together in quite some time, but you were around often in the war, and fought hard, and it was nice to see.
Thalongrim: Sporial was always wary of getting too close to you because of your borderline insanity/chaos. He didn't really "chaotic humor" and such, but he knew how often you showed and stuck around even if there weren't many of us around. Enjoy being the only interviewing non-leader left in the Rift. *chuckle*
Sphinf: Sporial didn't want to get too close to you either, finding you rather silly, and not having much use for silliness... however, you're a solid Seeker, and he was glad to help you rank and help you otherwise.
Battle:
You were really strong when Sporial got into Nexus, then went almost dead for quite a while, and finally you're getting fairly strong again. It's nice to see.
Tobeldest: You're an ass. Agreeing to not take more than one item doesn't mean destroying instead of taking them doesn't count.
Thralkoz, Lohrn: It's probably rough now, but stick it out. You're doing well.
Sylvan:
I didn't really deal with most of you.
Targaryen: It was fun at times, even if it made me feel rather greedy.
Entropy:
Didn't really have any dealings with you in quite some time, and Sporial was happy to have it that way... he really didn't have much use or fondness for you personally, even if he felt you must be serving *some* purpose.
Tribunal:
Didn't really talk with or deal with any of you.
Scarab:
Didn't deal with any of you, either.
Scion:
Dullameh: We didn't talk much over the later part of Sporial's life, but he respected you, and your understanding of the nature of our war. We certainly had some interesting... twists of Fate... between us.
Dahlisyn: You were interesting to talk with, when we did talk, and Sporial respected you, and liked your manner of approaching things.
Rhowyn: We had a few very interesting talks, though I wish I could have been more involved in that last plot I tried to help a bit with. You completely disagreed with Sporial's beliefs, but he had wanted to keep trying to convince you, just stopped seeing you for a while.
Warlock:
I really didn't deal with you much.
Dawn:
Not much with you either.
Maran:
Aliera: You certainly made the last week of Sporial's life... interesting. We had alot of fun, wish it didn't have to end that way, though.
Herald:
Jashere: Sporial really liked your outlook, and thought he had a chance to get you to follow Guerric. It didn't happen, but we still had many good conversations, and some interesting dealings... I had meant to tell you about something before I left, but I just didn't see enough point. It was an... odd... ending... but it was fun.
Iunna: You drove Sporial nuts when you had conversations with people and he was the third person in the room, seeing how impossible it was to follow conversations you had. Even so, he liked how calmly you dealt with everything, and going adventuring a few times, and seeing you in general... you were the one solid point in the Inn when others could be so... moody.
Thanks to everyone who made this character fun. I'm sure I'll be back, in one form or another.

Well, very well done. I wasn't so much on the chaotic humor as it really was roleplay. You know what I mean. Suprising enough, Thalongrim is a neutral neutral character, no chaotic ethos... suprising? Well... e-mail is LordXanCaronis@aol.com if you want to send anything else about him. Oh, and Thalon couldn't exactly get close to Sporial either... too much fate or something. *grins*

Ahh man. Sad to see you go but I know what you mean. Things can be real pains and it makes sense you did that. One word I can say that means everything I saw Sporial as....Terrific.....once or twice a bit greedy but EVERYONE is like that now and then. Well thanks for the confidence....first Leader and first real char.....it's definatly new but I think I'm gettin the hang of it some. I was hoping you would be around longer cause I was hoping Lorak and Sporial to do some things. Was gonna try and really get to know Sporial IC but things didn't work out like planned. But plans don't happen that often....considering I had NO plans for Lorak at all. But any how. Thank you so much for the fun. When you were around I felt invincible. Heh....I still can't believe I tried to rescue you from Dullameh and got my ass handed to me real quick. But at least u got away and I only lost my staff. So it worked out fine. Thanks again man. Good luck on the Next if it comes. Have fun and take it easy till then.

Well, this is a bit of a surprise. Got to say I liked having you around even though we didn't exactly see eye to eye on your beliefs and my beliefs. But you consistently stuck with your beliefs (which is probably why I will never play an empowerment class).
You were well played, stuck with your role, and was around during the rough times for Nexus. You earned your titles and always brought a smile to my face trying to picture you "laugh" IC.

The rough times were more interesting in some ways than the later part, there wasn't really much to do as far as cabal business went. I was happy with what went on though... and as for that laugh, it seemed like that's how a gnome would laugh, to me.

Thanks. I certainly would have liked to spend more time working with you, primarily exploring. It was something I meant to get your aid with, but never really found the chance to explore as much as I wanted to anyway, let alone to do so with an ideal group of allies. Glad you enjoyed it, and good luck in the future.

Well this is a surprise. I love it when you can go from one char being an enemy to someone to the next char being good friends! And its always fun to find out! As Frist, I really enjoyed having you around cause I was certain that I'd survive any encounters (Except a lich who forgets me *mutters again*). And as for the greed, I will say I did see you as greedy, but I'm the same way. Was fun watching to see who would pick up the item we were working to get first! And thank you for some interesting eq gathering trips! I must say its a major loss to the rift to lose someone as skilled as you and I can personally say I will greatly miss you. Good luck with your life.

Well, I figured it was something like this (that you were moving), the way you were talking. Where to start? I really, really liked Sporial, he meant alot to Nydeikon, and the Rift for that matter. Your roleplay was incredibly consistant and you were one of the best healers I have ever been around, keeping everyone healed wise. You gave the Rift so much, I can't even really put into words, this will be blow to Nexus having you gone. I also enjoyed your special little twist on the beliefs of Nexus, they fit well. As for your titles, they were very well deserved (not that I asked Vahlen to give you one or anything ), but I think that "Seeker of Fate" fit well. As for not spending much time with anyone towards the end of your life, I guess Aliera was responsable for that one, heh. Sorry things for you two didn't work out as planned, but I guess you moving would have prevented too much anyhow, even though I would have liked to see it end better between you *sigh*. Best of luck with your move and I truely hope you find your way back to CF, if not a player of your caliber will certainly be missed. Thanks again for all the fun and yes, Sporial was definately a success, I really thought you were going to apply to imm, I think you really would have done a good job.
That Whil guy.

Seeker of Fate was a fun title, but at the same time it confused some people... people would be going to me "how can you seek Fate?" and stuff, which obviously wasn't what it meant. As for finding my way back to cf, I'm 90% sure I'll be back.

Thanks to sources to be unnamed in the game, I knew that this was going to happen... we had some fun times, and I kind of hoped we would've had more time to sit down and talk sometimes but it was either me or you having something else going on. Too late for that now though, huh?
Good luck with the next one and all that jazz, as the saying goes.

Sporial, what a well played character you were. I completely enjoyed every moment we had speaking, and I think you were one of the most fleshed out charater that Rhowyn has ever met.
The last plot wasn't something you could have helped on, and I'm not sure I'm going to continue it, since there is little I can do without the help of immortals. Sometimes they notice, sometimes they don't. When a character is toeing the water of stagnancy, you try to create as much plot and interaction as possible.
You would never have convinced Rhowyn that fate was the deciding factor of the universe, but it was wonderful to have you try. Well done, and good luck on the next.
Rhowyn, who is not gone -- just taking a short break.

It sounded hard for a mortal to do much, but I would have liked to have tried... it's rather annoying that a few people had major illnesses/etc. they were roleplaying with Imm involvement but even being the Avatar of a God (which you'd think would give alot of healing power) I couldn't do a damn thing to even start to help, much less have the Gods notice. I know what you mean about toeing the water of stagnancy. And myself I'm sure I wouldn't have convinced Rhowyn, but Sporial thought he could... he thought alot of his preaching abilities.

I'll miss Sporial, even though we didn't interact much after a week or so into the Nexus-Scion war way back when.
We had some great discussions, and I found it funny that you were with me (which basically was the only thing that made it possible) when I went on my Lich-quest-item-gathering-spree, and then like a day later Dull was a Lich and we were at war. There were a few other little Fatey things that happened between us, but that has to take the cake.
Great character, very deep and well played in every regard. Good luck in life and on your next, should you come back.

That item-gathering-spree and the war going on the next day was quite funny, yes. Dullameh became one of Sporial's examples for Fate's power... not because of that spree, but because there's so much time and aid from others that goes into finding out the items and gathering them, but even after all that the elixir has a fair chance of failure. Sporial would say that it couldn't be just "luck" that decided whether there'd be a lich.

Sorry to see you delete, if anyone could take a character to old age I think it would have been you. Thanks for helping me hero, it went much much faster with you.
