I had a hard time getting past your "Someone talk me out of deleting" post on Dio's. It just rubbed me the wrong way.*

Beyond that, good job and good luck with your future endeavors.

*Didn't notice if this was referenced farther down the thread, I apologize if that is the case. Comment still stands, however.

I know that was after losing Enarn, and I think getting full-looted/sacced and not being able to save Hrudgir from getting killed as well. I could be misremembering, though.

Yeah, I've definitely learned my lesson about posting ooc. Never no good. Just like the Deck.

You bad cop. I'll just have to have an Iunna follower on the list now

What bothered you about it? It seemed like someone asking to be reminded why their character is fun to play, after having an especially harsh and "un-fun" session. I mean, yeah, probably shouldn't have been posted, but I never saw it as the desperate cry for attention some people made it out to be.

These last few days haven't been kind on you. I think I saw about 5 of your corpses within one login. Altruism suicide != fun.

I really wish we had interacted more beyond raids/retrievals in the more recent weeks. One interaction that sticks out in my mind is the time when I had gathered you, Enarn, and Aldran together to work things out. A dedicated leader, I was surprised to hear that this was your first hero.

See you in the fields, mate.

Your rp, like Hrudgir's, totally blew me away. Like when we were in the Witchwood, and you started freeing that chained sylph. That really amazed me, and showed me that rping with the environment can be really ####ing cool.

Seems your schedule doesn't allow you to login half as much as me, but it was always great to see you. I know those snares deterred our enemies a hell of a lot.

Major props, and thanks for the compliments. Definitely see you in the fields.

You were on my list of folks I wanted to get at least once before you/I kicked the proverbial bucket for good. I think I remember fighting you a couple times one versus one and it went both ways pretty drastically. Last time you sent me packing good. Paladin fights are weird like that. Then that one time Jrhurg came in and messed up my best chance (though you woulda got away anyways I think).

Well done I do enjoy having Elf enemies about even though you probably never seen me much I saw you lots-- I was a second away from striking you so many times then you'd disappear. Damned Elves are tough to catch.

Way to stick with it.

I love your rp. Yeah, I was a bit worried that one time in front of Maethien when Jrhurg helped me out, which was probably the most baffling moment of Mende's life. I think I had all my supps up and had decent saves, so I hope I would have survived it. Yeah, those few fights were pretty drastic: one way or the other.

I don't know what I'm going to do without sneak, to be honest. I LOVED just walking past people. Hopefully not dying even more. Good luck with yourself. I wish you had some friends, it seems that you're kind of alone against the world, which is cool, but probably kinda boring. Maybe you should take up with the orcs? JUST KIDDING. No, really. Please don't do that.

Good luck with Nihk and everything else.

Thanks for the kind words. Mendicirith made me-- the player-- laugh a time or two as well with his tells. Happy you took it all with a good attitude there. Sometimes having a good enemy is better than having a good friend, so now worries here.

But. It sounds like you had a good time with Mendicirith which is what this is about here. Glad to hear it. Continue to enjoy with your next, man.

Is it by design that you can't hold a held item in your 'weapon' hand, if you have something like a cursed shield?

Did I go overboard on the prays in the last week? In hindsight, I kinda feel like I did.

Who ran that little interaction when I was a lowbie when I was with Theroc and... someone in Arkham, and Jack was molesting that nun? I want to say thank you and that it was fun, yet another thing that made me want to continue playing my heart out.

That's all I remember right now. Thanks for the great game!

For now, yes. You get a weapon in your mainhand, and your offhand is all the various held items or a dual-wield.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

How about torches get turned into exotic weapons so they can be wielded main hand (or offhand) and still be able to use a shield. Damage would be quite low but better than nothing and they could have a specialty attack unique to them as well as parrying for those classes with the skill. Perhaps as a way to deter aggressive natural mobs from auto attacking. There could also be benefits for using a natural strong light source as opposed to a glowing object such as easier secret door detection, easier gains in observation skills when using it, etc.

Can't believe you're gone. You were such a great person to have within the Fort as well as a great leader. You were what I totally expected a Cardinal to be. Mercifully at times but gung-ho as well. I thought you played the loving, warrior priestess to the hilt. Well done.

BTW you totally threw me for a loop when we're heading up towards the Empire to raid them after just taking the Scepter from the scions and you pecked me on the cheek and said you were so proud of Bahlren and me. Had no idea how to respond to that so I just grunted. I still laugh now just thinking about it.

You will be sorely missed within the Fortress.

Vassten

You two have tons of heart, and I sort of see you guys like brothers. You're both pretty decently competent (I think Balhren knows lots more than he's letting on, though) and the Fort NEEDS a Maran and a Squire like you more than ever.

Thanks for the compliments. It's a big honor to run around with good people like you guys and rp/defend you/kick ass together. I had tons of fun with Mende, and it made everything just so damn easy. I'm going to miss her too. Good luck, buddy. I'll be rooting for you.

Our first talk changed the whole direction of my character...so, yeah. Thanks for that.

No idea what the job description of a Cardinal is, but you definitely nailed what I thought it might be. You were always gracious and helpful...for my own reasons I like to go wandering off alone but now I wish I would have asked for help killing a dragon or something, just so we could chat.

The fact that this is your first hero makes it all the cooler. Great job all around, and hope we meet again somehow.

See you in the fields.

I had lots of fun with that talk. It actually was one of the high points of Mende, I felt: I felt like a real paladin, like a real Cardinal helping shepherd and guide. Thanks for the opportunity! Now I wish we'd gone and slain dragons and all sorts of things. The only person I really managed to give some of my knowledge from Enarn to was Reida. And Hrudgir, I guess. I'd have loved to show you what I learned. But I'd have loved to chat and rp even more.

Thanks for the compliments, and I think you're very, very cool. You ought to have lots of friends: I know you, Lyug, Siladhiele, and Frajalar ought to be able to have tons of fun and do lots of good exploring. Good luck, my friend. Mende will be watching you in heaven. Also, refer to the post below for a little more goodbyeness. That note you wrote about me was such an honor.

I really enjoyed Mendecirith as a character from when I was power ranking you up during the Fortresses dark time to our mediation at the Inn concerning the possible Fort Nexus war. What you may not have had in pk skills you more than made up in RPing a very solid character. You embodied a loving nature which Tsyda in particular liked about you.

I thought you were a pretty cool character overall, and tough in your own right. I also thought you got better towards the end at figuring out when to stick around and duke it out and when to get the hell out of a bad situation. I liked your RP, it was always good, and you really came across as a Fortie. First hero? Color me impressed, I couldn't even get into a cabal with my first. You'll be really scary in a few more characters, I'd wager.

I've no idea where to start, so I'll take Tweedledee's (I believe) advice: Start at the beginning, and continue until the end, then stop.

I originally rolled a male elf paladin who would follow the goddess of love. He was going to have an element of aloofness and a bit of coldness to him, since he loved the 'lesser' races, but it was difficult for him to totally relate to them. That aloofness totally went out the window, and to good effect, I think. It was lots of fun to bust out ridiculous 'vocab' words as an elf. I'm an english major, so I get off on things like that.

I've had two characters before that I would deem worth the slightnest note: Rhaguel-shapeshifter that won a role contest long ago, and Brastal: a pointless neutral bard that got to meet Yhorian (with fun ranking sessions as Kaisse), and Guy blowing my mind (I was in an area explore! OMG! by taking us to the temple in Organia as Makwar). He made it to 42 before he just became too pointless. But back to the topic at hand.

Let's see... what can I say? Ranking up was pretty easy with a shield ded, empowerment was actually fun (finding Rayihn didn't take long, either), I made some friends and joined the Fort. Got faith at... 24, I think? And that totally spurred me on. I want to say thanks *so* much for that, My Lady. That vote of confidence really, really got me rolling. I don't know, somehow it seems so much easier to really get into your rp when you know people are noticing and like it and rp back with you. So much fun!

Then... I ate Rodalrina's fruits and got made a lady! This was the point where I said to hell with it, and just let myself be as emotion and lovey-dovey as possible (I know, sexist stereotype, but I had tons of fun with it). I heroed. Yeehaw! Hero #1! I was absolutely stoked, and then went on a mad whirlwind of running about with all my horde of friends (at the time Sorry Fortress! I really wish I hadn't left, but it was time. I know you'll all step up and kick ass, once you finish grieving for the Cardinal... someday ) I started playing a LOT, and this has been hurting the old college work. So I played a ton, rage deleted once, brought her back for a fun-filled week, and now she's dead.

I thought I did pretty well with my rp. I really wanted to move away from nodding/winking/smiling so much, I sort of felt stuck in an emot rut, and couldn't stop. With PK... I was definitely getting more savvy. I started realizing near the end that (as you said Gnashgaar) some more devious summoning and tactical retreats to heal/allow other's preps to wear down would have helped me tons, since I'm always going to have more mana/easily-obtainable protection than any non-mage. I started faithfully buying preps, even though Hunsobo was pretty much always (How? How did you do it?!?) reduced as well, so that ended up being kind of a wash. I was going to start coming enlarged every other time... but I got lazy, and knew I'd just get dispelled, anyway At least, that's my excuse. Everyone else besides prepped orcs breaking my shieldarm or just doing godawful amounts of damage while bashing me at the temple... were pretty easy to deal with. It's pretty easy to see which mistakes I made in most fights, now. The only ones I just can't figure out how to win were Thos, with the whole barrierwhore/teleport/uberconservative thing. I guess most everyone has problems with that too, though.

I'd really like to solicit everyone's constructive criticism on any facet or aspect of this character. Don't be afraid: Mende's tough and dead. She can take it.

Errrm, hrm. I'm really good at rambling. I guess I'll move onto goodbyes! Posts to follow...

Oh Rayihn. What can I say? What in the world can I possibly say? Your religion was something of a perfect fit for Mende, and really for me ooc. This made it so very natural, and it was a blast. I feel like we just clicked from the first talk, and then we had a very natural, comfortable, familiar relationship. And I loved every minute of it! I loved shouting My Lady! Over the cb and then hightailing it to the Bathhouse.

I remember the first time... I purposefully bought some food from Carli in the Seaport to eat in front of you and earn some brownie points I guess it worked. Thank you for loving and being there for Mende even when she was just dying all over the place and everything was going to hell. Your gifts were also fabulous. I think that's all I can say about them. Sorry I squandered so much con

A lesson for all young paladins everywhere: if you don't have a really competent, knowledgeable group (preferably shield paladin, transmuter, voker, and healer) don't go and mess with the Kuo-Toa King. Just don't freakin' do it. Trust me, please.

I had so much fun with you. I would get so excited when I'd see you online and get ready for my hugs and kisses and sitting beside you. I just can't express how honored I am by everything you did for me, and how much I like your religion. You're a great imm, your rp is stellar, and anyone who has a bad word to say can #### right off. We know better.

Also, don't know your musical tastes, but I'd urge you to download 'In My Lady's House' by Iron and Wine. It always reminded me of you so much. It'd be perfect background music for the Bathhouse. Listen to it! iTunes store! I know you'll like it.

... I don't feel like I'm done, but I don't know what else to say without repeating myself. So I'll stop for now.

Love you,
Adam and Mende

PS- Was that post below my echoes? If so... wow. Wow. Thank you so much. I agree, Mende did deserve it So sorry to break your heart! It's just as hard to leave you and everybody else! You're a great goddess. Everyone should have a follower to get them some Rayihn-lovin. Nobody would be disappointed.

Honey, you con died at like 3 am or something crazy like that. It would take an act of god to get me out of bed at that time! No, those weren't echoes, though had I been around I probably would have put something fun together. Just a little thing I wrote up when you'd rage deleted last time and I thought it was going to stick.

I just did a search on itunes store for that song and I couldn't find it. You sure on that name? Found the band ok, but can't seem to see a song with that name. I don't listen to a lot of Indie rock but that's mostly cause I'm too lazy to find it.

We had a perfect relationship and I can say you were absolutely one of my favorite followers that I've had so far. I adored you, and you were fully aware of it!

One of my favorite Mende moments: I vis and a few seconds later this pray comes up:

Mendecirith: Rayihn! Wait for me, my love, I'm coming!!!

Me on imm channel: Jesus, I'm going to have to make Mende Rayihn's Holy Sock or something

Twist on imm channel: That pray sounded pretty bad

Mende's next pray: Uhm, I mean..I'm on my way...

I got a good laugh out of it.

All in all, I'm glad you had fun with Mende. I could never play a character like that, I can't handle dying that much. You rage deleted on your 99th death for gods sake! Then you came back and died more!

I hope to see you playing another Rayihn follower again. Good luck. And stay in school! Wait, english degree?? What are you going to do with that??

I still maintain that if Enarn had stuck around or if I'd had a constant hero warrior in the Fort (you know I love you, Pallidis. I'm just online way too much) things would have been tons different. As in I'd have died much less. Charity doesn't help so much when you're running around with a pack of paladins and conjies w/ archons

I do remember those prays. Obviously I think like an imm. I'll take that as a compliment?

It really was always such a treat to see you vis. I would just get *so* godamned excited... I enjoyed it immensely. But I somehow think you knew that.

Thank you for Mende's utopia. I got a little emotional when I read it. Sorry for making you cry. It did end up being difficult to die that many times.

As for the song: search for 'woman king' (the album is the Woman King EP) and then you'll find it. I swear by it. It was my Rayihn song

Ah ha! Found the song. Sorry, I'm pretty blond. This group reminds me of John Prine without the comedy. I dig the song though. Most of my music prefs are listed on my Rayihn myspace page.

I can admit, I got a little emotional writing that thingie up. I'm going to miss Mende!

If you think you could write up an area and keep yourself from playing mortals for a bit, you should definetly try and imm. Once you have a couple of sucessful heros under your belt, though. We tend to prefer that people have a certain amount of experience before imming them. Hope to see you up here though!

Fort, I luv ya. You know it.

Baerinika- I was honestly shocked by getting Acolyte and Cardinal so quickly. It was a real honor, and yet another thing to really drive me to be the best I could. Your super-badass cold elf is kind of Mende's mirror image, so it was always fun to talk to you. You always were very insightful while pointing different things out to me, and I always had to agree. You're on and vis a lot, which is *great*, just what the Fort needs, and your rp is great. It was a pleasure to serve under you, and I was personally honored when you said there was no more you'd ask me to do. Thanks. (Oh, and about the gender-restoration: yeah, it was kinda hard. So I just decided to stick with being female. Maybe I'm just stupid with Voralian? I swear we looked at and sayto'ed everyone...)

Zephon- Ah, my love. One day I realized that Mendecirith would totally want a love in her life (not that Rayihn wasn't enough, but y'know) and that to just pass up a good thing right in front of her was utter foolishness. Your pained rp was just as melodramatic as mine, so we of course had tons of fun. I really wish I was a better pker so I could have saved you from the Hunsobomachineguy more. It's just that I died so much to them, and I didn't want to anymore, or else I'd have been in there rescuing you a lot more. Sorry about disappearing for that week. It was lots of fun playing with you

Enarn- Oh Marshall. What can I say? You multiplied my area and pk knowledge by at least fiftyfold. Mende truly loved you and worried about you. It was fun to be the older little sister. We were great foils for each other. I think I said it all in your death thread. You rock. Thanks.

Hrudgirette- I really wish we could have gotten you changed back, you whiny girl Your rp blew me away. Just absolutely blew me away. Total and mad respect and props and whatever you like. And you're much better at pk, also. Really good job, and I hope to run around with you some more. Again, I think I said everything in your death thread. You were missed in the Fort.

Mersiliat- I'm really sorry we couldn't draw swords once more. You're a great paladin. One thing I have such trouble with is personally/friends getting looted, and you just don't even care. That impresses (and makes me envious) so much. Your rp is great, you're a pretty competent pker, and a great friend. I really, really wanted to get to the Tower with you. What was up with that lazy assassin, anyway? The Fortress needs you more than ever. I know you're up to the task.

Zorson- Your rp also just blew me away. You were great, I was very sad when you deleted. I had you pegged for Prophet, or the next Cardinal.

Xenillia- It was fun to talk with you. Kill them with sherbet and stinky catfish. That stuff was pretty random, but you played a great, individualistic scribe. You really do deserve Acolyte, but Xenillia's so darned headstrong, isn't she? You were really cool.

Anildor- You were so funny to talk to, with your rigidity and stuffiness. I wish we could have talked more. You were a good, stout scribe. Thanks for being my friend. Wish I could have known you better.

Dahltu- Solid paladin. But you died even more than me It always made me wince. You had barrels and barrels of heart and courage, and I know Baerinika was proud of you. A good, simple, storm paladin. Good job, thanks for being on my side.

Ovias- Dammit, this was a deletion that really made me grumble. You were so freakin' great. I always was smiling when you were on, or when you logged on. You do dwarfs wonderfully, and you're really damned witty. Hope the next one is a bit less frusrating.

Brumble- you had a lot of heart, but pink beards?!? Where did that come from? And why'd you auto, bastid? I was praying and praying and praying for a warrior pal.

Tohgrugr- You were like a rabid wolverine, always looking for someone to kill! It was lots of fun to shamelessly gang people with you, and you don't know how often I wished you'd stuck around for entwine/choke/pull loving. If that was a comeback char, I can't wait to see the next. Good luck with it.

Soayel/Lothlorian- I really liked you guys, and don't take this the wrong way, but I didn't get much personality from either of you. Put a little personality and heart into the next, and I know it'll be amazing. You were both competent healers and good friends, and it was really sad/frustrating when both of you left. Now there are no Acolytes that I know of, Soayel! *wags finger*

Drathiel- You've got a great attitude and are really funny. Keep it up.

Dewrit/Tahel/All my new Fort buddies- thanks for the love, and hold fast! The Fort needs you all more than ever.

I'm going to feel like a huge asshole if I forgot any of you, but let me know if I did, anyway. Much love, Fortress. I'll be back, you can count on that.

Zernhop- you were lots of fun. Your knowledge and savviness really impressed me, and I didn't mind being ordered about if it would save people. An Acolyte thign, I guess? Good luck with the next!

Ulyadu- You're very cool, and a good, loyal friend, but I didn't get much personality from you. Open your mouth! I know you've got good and interesting things to say. The Fort really needs you, so I hope you stick around.

Ialob- No hard feelings about that one time. It's actually pretty damn funny, now that I look back on it. You were doing it only with the best intentions, and I can't fault that. Rayihn knows I screwed up enough times.

Aith- You had soooo much heart. I'm glad you had fun and learned a lot. It was always my pleasure to help you, my friend

Miko- You were cool, but didn't get to know you.

Lindilia- I wish I could have known you as well, but you really kind of dropped off as I neared hero. I also got a bit of a cold vibe from you. Didn't like being the only 'female' paladin about? I hope you had fun, and good luck with the next.

Tymeo- I'm sorry I was so bad at saving you from the Tribs that last death. You were so much fun to run around with, and you had tons of heart, always out hunting. Smell you later?

Rozanel- You were really knowledgeable, and I liked you a lot. Must have been difficult with such a niche build, though. Thanks for all the help and deaths at the King X( Still really sorry about that.

Man. It's amazing how many Forties left or died off in my time...

Oh my god was that funny. I was drunk cfing at the time, I wish I still had the log. Kharg might. It went something like this:

Mendecirith is DEAD!

g sswwword corse
Huh?
g sword corpse
You get a holy sword named Defiance from the corpse of Mendecirith.
Defiance says "You are a MORON! Drunk ####!"
Your holy word ===OBLITERATES=== you!
That really did HURT!

wince
You wince in agony.

Kharg chuckles politely.

say Whoops.

drink firebreather
drink firebreather
drink firebreather

bonk self

Anyway, sorry again and well played.

Aldran both loved you and was annoyed by you. We had some great conflict with your trying to save him from his despair and him refusing. They both just so stubborn; it was kind of funny. Sorry I didn't rejoin as a Scribe or even switch sooner. You actually made Aldran see that he would make a good Acolyte, but it took so long, that it was too late, and I was just not into the character enough anymore to write Baerinika a note or anything of the sort. We shared some good times in the Fortress, though, but you were almost always off doing stuff with Enarn, so we really didn't interact as much as I would have liked. The early ranking was nice, though. Well, don't know what else to say. You did well. Good luck with your next.

I loved the whole English Major/Elf thing. I really tried to do that with Aldran, though his sole purpose of it was to prove his superiority to "lesser" races without appearing arrogant. I don't know how well I did with that. Unlike Mende, though, Aldran was very aloof, very cold and distant. It's kind of funny, as much as he cared about others, he really only showed it with his actions, not his emotions or words, though there was one time, I recall, when he called to you for help with something along the lines, "Help me! They're burning! The children, we need to save the children!"

The Fortress takes a big loss with this, though I could tell you were burning out pretty bad on the character. You stood out as a solid Acolyte and you were really strong on the RP whenever I watched you, so I didn't see any reason not to promote you so quickly. You certainly didn't let me down or ever make me regret the choice. In fact, I think you were one of the best Acolyte leaders I've ever seen. Your newbishness showed through at times, but only with game mechanics (No, Mendecirith, it's FC..._FC_), you never faltered with the RP. I hope you didn't think Baerinika came down on you for things like not having flight to get to the Scion cabal when the gates were closed, I was trying to teach you but Baerinika isn't really a fuzzy lovey teacher so you're right, it comes off cold. You had both my ooc and Baerinika's respect for what you did, though, above all.

Good luck on your next, I do hope to see you in the Fortress again. Hopefully with less dying next time.

Wow. Thanks for the compliments. I didn't think you were coming down on me at all, it sort of felt like two old campaigners saying "You been hit on the head too many times? Don't ya remember you can go through the Tahril mountains?". Your tone was perfect. I wasn't hurt or offended at all, which is something since I'm so 'sensitive'.

There will definitely be less dying next time. A few chars down the road there's going to be yet another dwarf in your shrine (sorry to add to the mob, I'll do an elf if I'm confident enough ) ready to beat evil butt. I'll be dwarf warrior that Mende always wished she had with her, heh.

Alright, now you're making me sad.. :p

First, I'm not gone yet. I just usually got a big shedule and it's hard for me to long on more than a few hours a day, with some days without me logging.

Second, I actually though we had a lot of greats talks.. Granted, not as much as I'd have liked, but most of the times we were only at the same time, we had to defend/retrive/die.

But nevertheless, I had great fun with you, even moreso when we learned we both followed Rayihn. lol .. It was like "You follow Lady Rayihn?" "Yeah.. oh, you too?" "All that time and we just figure that out?"

Something like that.. lol.. Anyway, Great showing, very impressive for a first Hero. You were a good and strong presence in the Fort and you'll be very missed. Come back soon!

Oh.. That regarding the Kuo-toa.. That one time I went there with you, Lothlorian and one or two others.. I felt bad to had to leave to save someone else, but I really made it clear I wanted you and the others out too. You had died what, two times already ? And I told you to just forget that for now and leave the place. I'm usually confident in what I can heal, and it really wasn't going well there and I prefered to have you somewhat safe than dead 2-3 more times. You seemed a little disapointed, but heh. :p

I'd forgotten about that, I don't know how. Now I remember our talks. I'm really sorry for jumping the gun! I thought I saw all your things in the chest... totally my bad. Makes me happy now.

Sorry for the personality comment Now that I remember the different trips, I feel like an asshole. Lothlorian had personality too: it's just that his was so funny in the quiet "oh. Well of course" way. And, yes, I think the reason I don't remember the talks as well is because we WERE always seemingly, going and defending/retrieving/dying. But damn, we made it look good, didn't we?

Yeah, I laughed out loud when we realized we were both Rayihn's. Hehe. Funny moment. On that note, everyone close your ears for a second. No, not you, Soayel:

**pssst I never had a chance to tell you this IC, but she says she wants to mark you too, she just wants you to step up and really be a presence. Don't tell her I told you.**

Okay. Everyone can listen now.

Re: Kuo-Toa: Yeah, now I feel like a big horse's ass for not listening to you and Pallidis and Baerinika and avoiding getting myself killed so, SO many times. I'm glad you spoke up and told me, even if I was acting disappointed. Good rp. Sorry for the hasty comments, hope you'll forgive me. I definitely would have liked to have more downtime to head to the Inn or stand with the Watcher and talk. Hopefully we'll be on the same side again, one of these days.

See you in the fields.

Ah ! No hard feelings, don't worry.. lol

I would definatly have hoped for more talks, you could have seen a little more of Soayel's personnality.. Granted, it's not much special, and circonstantial, but then again I **** at PK so I have to RP.. :p Which is why I love healers and communers. (More on this when Soayel dies)

Alright, everyone close your eyes for a moment and start reading a few lines below.

** ppst: If you'd have looked at me the last time we met, you'd have seen something.. Then again, I THINK you DID look at me and probably didn't realise.. If you keep a log of everything, try to look at that night **

Don't worry about the no-downtimes, it's probably the one thing I sometimes hate about Cabal, often you get dragged to Raid/Retrieve/Defend instead of other things. Then again, I don't log enough to probably see more of it.

Anyway! Have fun with the next.

Well this is really sucky, good luck with your next, and you'll be sorely missed in the Fortress. Hey I got Acolyte Wished you coulda seen that at least. Ah well, hopefully we'll meet again in the Fields.

I'll miss you too... yeah. I'm struggling with what to say, also. We worked really well together: me the spunky newbie, you the much more savvy fighter. I had lots of fun, and our conversations were probably the highlights. We always had a great time just gabbing.

Much love. The Fortress needs you, I'm glad you're there for them. I'll definitely be seeing you in the fields.

I admit, Baerinika was right: I was just burning out for some reason, and throwing her in to die. Just frustration with school, I suspect, but it was enough. It was time.

Aye, we had tons of fun, and I loved your stolid, polite rp. Did I forget you? If so, I'm a dumbass. Good work with Acek, next time we'll be more experienced and whip lots more ass, deal? GLWTN, see ya in the fields.

Likely you knew more about Anildor than anyone else, and you were considered his only friend(ever ever, though you likely never knew most of his true emotions about his past, father, Zephon, or you). He had comrades, and allies, sure, but there wasn't anyone he called a friend until he met you. Anildor did become slightly less rigid around you, and he "fell in love" with you, though it was something he wouldn't even admit, especially after learning about Zephon(he was jealous about that ).

I felt kind of bad, because I could tell you were a bit new, even though I shouldn't be saying much(I'm a returning player, and I always blew nuts), and I wished I could have stayed around longer(and you didn't disappear for a week) so I could hang out with you more(and flirt in the way only Anildor knew how to be, be beyond polite, cordial and way too complementary). Though, you did do a good job at Cardinal, as far as I could tell, so props to you. Good luck with your next, and maybe we will meet again in some other guise.

I really did have lots of fun with you and the whole melodramatic thing was fun to do. ^_^ The last time we fought hunsobo together I think we had him about 25% of the way down before the shaman's maldicts really started to kill me off.

It is all right, I came back two days before you and died the second day He he. I really wanted to have Zephon live a little more. I was already telling people to tell you goodbye for me because I was almost 100% sure that he would not see Mendecirith again. (Quite a few people actually)

I really liked roleplaying you changing your mind about Zephon. (The parts before you changed your mind was perhaps the peak of Zephon's depression.) It gave me a chance to be free from his very depressing side for a little while. ^_^ The depression starts to get at you after a little while and I started to feel like my character! Ugh... I had fun. ^_^

Seems like that generation of the fortress is gone. Always liked to see you on, something fun was going to happen. What I will remember most is you and Hrugir and Xenillia walking around Voralin for answers or clues to getting Hrugirs manhood back. Ulaydu was my first hero also, so I gota excuse for my crap rp and pk skills.

Early on I decided you were "cool" and tried to keep track

On top of it all I'm a softie for con-deathy people.
So 3 cheers for you.

Hehe, anyway, had a lot of fun with Mende, though gawds
sometimes I wanted to scream at you =) I did, didn't I?
Had to be more circumspect once you were Cardi though,
still, was all good. Playing a leader is extremely over
rated, but I think you did a right peachy job =)
Mende = good egg.

Shooloo- Wow. We really kinda bonded there in the last few days, didn't we? You're creative, funny, and great. Mende is asking Rayihn to give you a kiss, by the way. You definitely deserve it. Keep on trucking, you're an amazing character. But of course. You're the Shooloo. Don't know what else to say besides that.

Theroc- you are funny as hell. I really like your character: a little philandering svirf thief with a heart of gold just cracks me up, and it's a great archetypal role. You're a good Herald, sorry for getting you killed those few times. You're a great char, hope you have lots of fun and learn tons. Sorry that Mende helped ruin you
An aside about the identifying: you know that you usually say the same greeting to me, which was so much fun in itself. But it's a combination of your vocabulary, punctuation/capitalization, and the sort of 'language patterns' you use that easily give you away to me, since they're all so distinctive. It even has a term: in morse code radio it's called a 'fist'. Everyone has little 'tells' of their own like it, no matter how subtle. I read about it in 'Blink' by .. Malcom McDowell? Really interesting stuff, and it really, REALLY has applications on a mud.

Maethron- an old, old friend. I was always divided on whether to turn myself in or not, since Mende hadn't broken any of the important laws Your rp is really good, and you're playing what seems to be quite a tough combo. You seem to be doing really well with it, props for that. Good luck with the Spire, they need you.

Imam- You always cracked me up. Great, great thief rp. I'm glad you became a friend of the Fort (at least, to my knowledge...) and of mine. You were fun to talk to, and the presents were always appreciated

Siladhiele- Another of the faithful. You're a great char, I wish I had gotten to spend more time with you. It was a pleasure to help/save you, and thanks for being the High Herald. Thera always needs 'em. Also, I really hope you can get that statue into the Voralian Cathedral! That would be uber-awesome. Good luck with everything!

Frajalar- You seem like a perfect Iunna follower. Very witty and funny and classy and all that. Thanks for being with me at the end, and doing those favors. Means a lot to me.

Daevryn(& all other Imms)- For some reason, I thought it was you that gave me my role contest rewards, and that I always was bothering about my leaderwep. TO ALL IMMS: SORRY ABOUT NEVER PICKING UP MY MACE! Thanks for putting up with that. I wanted to ask you a few questions about imming if you were the one I sent that mistell about wanting to stay for a long time to. I nearly applied... but I've got so many character ideas. I want more heroes! More pk!

Halistanis- We had some really good talks. It was so much fun to be perfectly stubborn and resist your ideology. I often felt that Mende wasn't terribly philosophically deep, but her philosphy/purpose was pretty simple, and she fulfilled them with action. Thanks for being an 'enemy' willing to talk and rp and be three-dimensional. I'd love to see more. Keep trucking, I hope you can get back into the Tree and help fix it, seems like they're hurting, and I know you could do it. Good luck! You rock!

Jhrurg- You were a competent warrior, but I just hated your rp. Stinky? Come on, I'd rather you stay silent.

If I forgot anyone, please respond. It's certainly not intentional. I never quite realized how many friends/acquaintances/sworn enemies Mende had... sheesh!

Lyug and Yikoti!

Lyug- You absolutely make me laugh and smile. What a great freakin' character. I hope you learn and explore tons, and get to teach all your youngsters tons as well. I'm still so very happy you finally got into the Inn, you totally deserve it. I don't know what to say, we just clicked so easily, and I was always happy to help you, travel with you, and chat in the Inn. I'm really glad I could help you out! Sorry about getting you killed those few times

Yikoti- I have to say, that note dedicated to me that one day totally floored me. It was a real honor. I'm glad I could help you: you've got tons and tons of heart as well, and I really, really respect and enjoy your rp. You're doing a great, great job, keep it up. Also, sorry about getting you killed and full-looted. I promise my next char will totally wipe out all orcs. Or die and get full-looted trying

Nano- You butthead. Telling everyone my secret! Mende wasn't ashamed of it at all, but as a player it kind of had me rolling my eyes to have tons and tons of random lowbies trying to throw it in my face.
**(Aside, to arial village applicant dumb@ss: please re-examine your rp. An aspiring Hater of Magic actually uttering the words 'post-op transsexual' to the Cardinal of the Golden Sun is NOT good rp. In any way, shape, or fashion.)**

But, to continue. Your speech was amazing, Nano. I hope to be able to pull off something that creative and cool so seemingly effortlessly. Nobody liked fighting you, including me. I'm really glad you missed that assassination in Arboria. Obviously you were a cool character, and I'd always wondered what happened to your advances. Then you said something like "is close as get as Nano want" and I knew someone told you. Hehe. Good work, and I hope to run around with you again! Ranking with Kaisse as Brastal really inspired me, and I think has informed some of my rp style. Thanks for that. I learned a lot just from that rp during those ranking sessions. You rock.

Tsyda- I wanted to get to know you better, since you seemed pretty cool, and we could have had endless, fun arguments. But I was always busy doing something. Blah. You seem very cool, and the war discussion was great. Thanks for playing with me, and keep trucking. Also, listen to the Shooloo! Don't let them villagers take the head back so easily with their silencing daggers You're cool no matter what, though. Keep trucking.

Thanks for the compliments. You have a great Herald going. God... I don't know if I've ever seen a crop of Heralds like you all (like I'm a vet or something, heh). It's really, really cool, and especially kudos to you for being so interested in something as important as Rayihn's history. I'd be so happy if that made it into the Lyceum! Along with an obligatory blurb about the story's source: her most wonderful, beautiful follower...

I thought your foods were creative too. I know what it's like to put so much thought and creativity into something, and not know that they're appreciated. I enjoyed them (like the walnut-crusted tuna or whatever? Actually had some macadamia-crusted mahi-mahi in Austin last week. Perhaps an IC influence on OOC actions? Good god... what are the implications?) especially with the choco milk Theroc mixed up for me Seems like you're having fun, and I hope you are. I really should have Inn-sat more. I suspect I could have talked to you, Theroc, Siladhiele, Lyug, Frajalar, and Yikoti all the live-long day. SuperInnLoveFTW<3

I tried to get you into the village so hard, but for some reason you wouldn't write the application :p I guess you didn't really want to be in the village bad I saw the mad heart and was like 'I'd induct you!'. Then about two weeks later, I got commander but your times had slipped way off. Sigh.

As for the Nano stuff, it was Maethron who told me. I was all like 'Loving lady, eh? Nudge nudge, wink wink' and he was like 'Dude, used to be a m-a-n. Yeah, MAN.'
'WTF?! He's a she? I mean, she-he-she-what?'
'Yup, totally lost the cock-plot'
'Okay, can't believe I nearly jumped that. I thought she was hot.'
'Hey, she could still be!'
'No way. Its a man inside. Its Man-decirith.'

Pretty much complained to everyone and gagged every time they mentioned it Completely playing out the whole disgusted thing and the mandecirith stuff was just too hilarious to not spread to everyone I knew! Love ya, see you in the fields.

I nearly did apply to the village just to roll with you, but I didn't have a role, and I've been bitter for a long time since all I rolled up as a newbie were mages that of course got totally stomped by ragers I'm getting over it now, though.

On the sex-change, it was Maethron, aye? It's funny: he was the first person to notice. I hadn't even realized what the echo I got meant, and, really, who thinks to look at their sex on score? It was hilarious when he pointed it out to me: a newly-made woman shell-shocked on Mount Calandaryl

Standing with you while you died was just a tiny part of Zesam's role.. the whole richness thing but I did it mostly because I had a character that age died.. and I stood there in my shackles alone.. no one in my cb no one I knew around just alone. It's half depressing to play a character you loved so much only to end it without the a blaze of glory sort of thing. So, staying with you was more of me the player letting you know good job. And you better believe I am going to give that "gift" to your Lady. I can't wait!

When I look back at our interactions, I still laugh when I logged on and caught you and Enarn at the island. And yelled at you, and you ran away saying you were sorry. Then of course, I had Enarn killed and there were a lot more your "I'm sorry". So, I thought well we're making some headway in the fort. Of course then there were the gangs.. And of course I loved so much reminding you every second I got the chance. I also enjoyed the time you told me you sooo wanted to kill me, but didn't know why exactly? Something like that.

And next time, maybe you should keep your notebook open.. and just type in every time you die. That way you're certain of how much con you really have

Also, I thought the emotes were stellar. Everytime I was around you, I would think to myself that I should emote more.

Well with all that, I hope you'll have another character soon and bring your "richness" to the game.

Now you're dead too. Dammit. Aldran, Mendecirith, and Maethron. I considered us best buddies. I still remember when we first grouped together to gain some ranks and you two ended dying like at least three times. At first I thought that when you logged off after that ordeal that you had deleted and I felt bad. Then I saw you like three days later. Once I joined Tribunal and you two joined Fortress we kinda drifted apart a little. I'd keep sending tells to the both of you to keep relations and stuff or form groups so we could go ranking. Too bad you both had to go and con die. Sucks.

As far as you turning female. That had some awkward moments. I remember meeting up with you in Voralian so me, you, and Imam could go rank. I look at you and notice your male desc but your gender being female. So I stated 'You look different, Mendecirith.'. Then you look at yourself and you still didn't notice! Not until we had killed a few skeletons already and Imam brought it up again. Hilarity. Especially when he said how you were now off one list and on the other.

What caused the uncomfortable moments was when you used the 'embrace', 'peck', and etc emotes on Maethron. Mostly because he first knew you when you were a man so uh yeah. Awkward. And to be honest, I only told Nanorab because I thought it would be funny OOCly to see his reaction. There was an IC reason as well, that great Darsylon elf tolerance for other races.

Though I still kinda feel bad I couldn't help out last night. Freaking traps failing and knocking myself out. Bleah. Now roll up a Trib so we drop the hammer on these criminals!

Hrm. Where to begin.

Hunsobo- Of course, have to start with you. My bane. You're quite an honorable warrior, and I think I can understand why: don't let the oaths full-loot the newbie Forties, and you still get to have fun fighting them! Thanks so much for that respect. I really tried to return it, even if I'm totally willing to gang you. Sorry about that, but I hope you can understand a newbie's burning desire for a little vengeance. Your malapropisms are ####ing WONDERFUL. As a literary-type, I really, really dig that. Very hilarious, good work with that. I only wish you were half as stupid in combat Your build is frightful... you know how to find/hold the gear to make it happen... and your rp is good. Hate to say it but you simply straight up outclassed me in the pk department. Always ready for whatever I brought (except a bunch of people. But what can you do, besides eat/quaff midcombat? you evil giant bastard!) I hope you're having as much fun as it seems you are. Don't chew on my Forties too bad? Go beat up the Outlanders or something.

PS- I also just have to say that, much like mongoose, greeting is #### Someone in immland throw non-magi without proshield a bone here against that! I mean, sure, he doesn't dodge well, but christ. He doesn't need to.

PPS- I still feel like an idiot for giving you the other HumanSunder. I should have realized the greater good would be MUCH greater served by keeping it in my hands than getting Lothlorian's things back. He's a healer, after all. Damned RP...

Waserax- My polar opposite. My receiving faith at such a low level can't have been fun for you. I just hate hate hate your dispelling powers, but in fairness even I could probably avoid dying much (IF I were careful...) if that wasn't possible. We bantered a few times, and it was just what I expected from you. Good job, and good luck getting the tat! God knows it's probably hard as hell, hope you can do it. You know the Fort hates seeing you, so you're doing your job right. Good luck, and much respect.

Kharghurln- Wow. Thanks for the compliments. You're pretty beastly yourself. You were gutsy and ballsy as hell, and really, really tactically savvy. My hat's off. I know why you're so old, and why you're Empress. I enjoyed our little chats as well, though of course a fire giant couldn't possibly understand what Mende was trying to communicate j/k. You rock. Also, order Thos to give you his axe, why don'tcha? I'd say you deserve it back/more.

Valryn- We had some really, really good talks. Sorry for trying to gang you so much, but I really, really dreaded the thought of being bound again after that first time. You've got great rp, and are very competent. I was especially impressed that you were on alone so much. Kudos.

Merlaan- You suck. I hate assassinate. I'm a newbie. Whine. Wah. That is all.

Thos- Take everything I said about Kharg... and I feel oppositely about you. Much like Ciurehra, until I heard her side of the story. Hope I don't hear yours and have to sympathize with you and feel like an asshole again. You're obviously very skilled and knowledgeable and all that jazz. It was fun being able to make you run when you were less powerful and stacked, especially the time I inadvertently used your black circle. You just got more and more uber-uber-uber-conservative as time went on, which I guess I can understand, but it just sucks for everyone else. But I guess you can also just play the game for yourself. I really, really, REALLY wanted to avenge the Marshall and repay you in-kind for the full-loot that I had no part in. When the inevitable Fort-Village-Scion-Outlander gang pastes you, Mende will be smiling in her utopia. Enjoy it till then.

Lezram- Screw mouthy lowbie looters. Never even got a chance to smack you. A real shame.

Wenariath- you were one of my biggest nemeses for a long while. Was always fun to fight you and Big Alg.

There were always tons of Imperials. Whether lowbies to scout and retrieve or what have you. Always loved fighting you... sorta.

Scions!

Kanaev- Your rp is so damn funny. Especially that night you started sending me tells (bored out of your mind, no doubt) that you were just sitting in the Chasm with your everfull skin. It was just perfect. And the whole "did I mention the Night will prevail?" cracked me up. But then I hated to fight you. You can summon some amazingly, wickedly strong devils and demons. Yuck. Good work, those few times I was so tempted to keep your troll amulet I really should have, hehe. Though it'd just earn me and mine tons of pain, so perhaps it was the right choice.

Rhyendris- Fought you... only once? And it was very brief. I remember you from Makwar. Sounded like everyone was afraid of you.

Hrok- I'm really sorry about that. Don't know what else to say.

Nyserroth- You seem quite competent. Nobody enjoyed fighting you.

Alarith- I still say you're a Scion anyway. Everyone was also afraid of you, also. I think moreso. Very cool lastname and title. Props.

Eshval- the vampire thing was tons of fun... except I was frozen for nearly the whole damned thing! I went and bought the courageous edge, just when I realized Hrudgir was ending it by doing a showdown with the Baron. Blast!

Sekhuroth- The 'bury me in my neck in filth and leave me for the cavefishers' was ####ing cool, great d-elf rp. I hope you go far just for that. And d-elf necro can't be the easiest thing in the world...

Outlanders-

Raviri- Sorry we looted you that last time, but Zephon was pretty naked. It was fun to fight you since I felt pretty damn invincible against you. Lots of guts and heart though. Hope no hard feelings about me comign to the Spire, but I thought an Acolyte would totally be down for helping the defenders of the cities, even if they don't properly respect the Fortress' work and their beautiful Cardinal.

Rezlin- I know you're not evil, but I'll just throw you here with Raviri. Was good to fight you and the rp in that log you posted was really cool. Once I got my virtues and set, though, didn't seem you were very well equipped to deal with me. Good char, though. Much respect.

If I missed you, you know what to do.

Damned RP..."

Ah, Mendecirith ("Mendies"). You started out so ridiculously easy to bash down, and by the end I felt like I scored a major victory if I killed you before you got away. A few things:

- When you traded me Humansunder for Lothlorian's things (which I didn't actually have any of, so ordering my blades/oaths to return it didn't really hurt that bad - sometimes it is very, very good to be evil ) I sent up a pray as soon as HS was in my inventory - something along the lines of "Mendies got be most generousest paladin evers!" So HOPEfully that had something to do with future immloving you received, and the Light really *was* best served by your actions.

- As for being an honorable warrior...I am when I can be (when RP allows it) but that's just me the player, wanting other people to have fun too (regearing sucks). Unfortunately there are times when RP doesn't allow it, which sucks. Also, to be quite honest, its much easier to return someone's full set of gear when they have nothing you can use (not saying you didn't have some nice sets, just most of it was anti-evil).

- Glad you dig the malaprops. When I'm dead, I may try to do something fun with them.

- "The build." To be honest, Hunsobo wasn't a bashspec when I conceived him - I'll get into this more when I die. As for how I "always managed to be reduced" - I have an alias to drink diminution (diminution is hard to spell out in the middle of a big raid - I made the alias after one particular raid (I think you and Enarn and co. were after the Codex) and I typed "drink dimuntion. drink dimununtion. drink dimini ah #### q return".

- Hopefully you enjoyed our last fight since no bashing was involved . I saw you peeking in while we were fighting the Shooloo, ram, and Tumarellen, and just sorta told the group "Mendies" then ran after you. I don't think they understood that you were there (Tragnor wasn't grouped with us) so it ended up being 1v1. I figured you'd be in "the stand" but thought I'd give it a shot anyways.

GREAT char overall. The fact that this is your first hero is surprising to me, and actually a bit disappointing/encouraging. Disappointing because toward the end I had such a hard time with you, but encouraging because you obviously learned SO much from the first time you were in hero-range until the end.

Good luck with your next, man! Er woman! Er...whatever!

Thanks for the compliments, they mean a lot coming from you. Thanks for encouraging sportsmanship, and I did enjoy the last fight. A no bashing one was appreciated. Definitely made me wish I'd had the shield of pure light I was trying to win, even though I was also trying to die. I stuck around to pick up my baton and lily, but as fate would have it...

Also, another fond little memory: You and Waserax found me in the Shadow grove, I fled immediately after you missed the bash and you sent me those tells: 'Me missed bash..." I say "Aye. Most thankfully" or something. "Me NEVER misses bash..."

Keep having fun!

Valryn- We had some really, really good talks. Sorry for trying to gang you so much, but I really, really dreaded the thought of being bound again after that first time. You've got great rp, and are very competent. I was especially impressed that you were on alone so much. Kudos.

Glad I stuck out a bit. I like being that guy that you're not really sure what to do with. As far as the ganging...that was nothing. I've had characters get slaughtered a lot worse. Mostly FROM Imperials, so....yeah, Valryn's something of the idea to show how it's done. For what it's worth...being bound sucks, but most of the time you shouldn't have too much to worry as a paladin. At least, unless I can pull out one of my tricks

But generally speaking there was very little I could do to you, simply because your saves quite simply owned any nasty stave/scroll I could dig up.
Again meh about that whole bit with Tcar, that sword really HURTS dude.

Oh well try again?

I certainly did! The only thing is that bards and I just couldn't do a damn thing to each other. Fiend to me was how bards got me to stop chasing them Then again, for most, the Cheerful edge didn't help them at all. I've never played a hero elf before, but even with the resist distortion edge, it didn't take more than three singings, usually, for distort to land, which kinda hoses holy miss wrathspam.

You seemed pretty clever and savvy. I certainly would have loved to fight you, even though bard fights were kind of absurd, since neither of us would have a way to seal the deal.

Also with Tcar, yes, I'll agree you were a butthead for a moment However, it didn't put me out at all, really, since Mersiliat and I got it easily once again that night. So no worries. Shield deds kill the mobs good, you better believe it.

Good luck with the char! Don't help the orcs! They're filthy, you'll catch something.

That makes alot more sense
There where alot of situations where I was thinking damn that should have sealed the deal/killed her, but now that I know what edges you had that makes alot of sense.
And anyway I'll probly fade into obscurity!

I really had no idea that Mendecirith was once a male. You definitely seemed female to me.

I've never managed to get much out of Voralian City either. Mobs tell me stuff, but very little considering how much time I've spent talking to them (as a paladin, not as an anti-paladin). In the end I stopped talking to them.

Thanks for the compliment. With the religion and role and interactions with Rayihn, being female really felt 'right'. She made a comment about that to me once: how she expected strong female followers, and instead all she was getting were men.

I do hope you still fail to kill my Forties without me there, though I suspect you won't. Good work with your rp, I like it.

I'll be really interested to learn the 'whys' for your name. I was grumbling about it to myself for a long time, but I've let it go, since there's no point and you're cool. I still hate Mike and Chester and company, though. Kudos to you for at least choosing a cool RL name

See ya in the fields!

You said on Dio's this was your first hero. I gotta say, Mendecirith was a pretty awesome first hero. Empoweree, last name, tattoo, virtues, leader position. Hard to ask for more. And like a going away present, you even got a kill on me yesterday. Background on that: Hunsobo and I got Vassten to writhing in one of the side rooms, he fled back to the Watcher. I followed, demonfired him a couple of times, then you blasted me and I had to flee. Fled with about 280 hp. For some reason, like a moron, I entered "mend wounds" instead of teleport or sanc. Bye bye duergar. Textbook example of "not knowing when to get out of dodge".

Anyway, I really, really hope you keep playing. Don't sweat the PK stuff; it will come with time. Though, if you do roll another character, I'd suggest playing something other than another shield paladin. Just so you get the opportunity to find out what another class is like at hero.

It was fairly obvious that you were new and trying your hardest to help people no matter the cost to yourself. I think you played a perfect acolyte, totally about protection but not a total sissy, you had no problem rolling up your sleeves and wading in alongside the maran.

Good luck with your next character I really enjoyed this one, as a suggestion try playing a very dark character next.

I certainly wasn't afraid to wade in and die, that's for damn sure, heh. The next one will be decently dark: I'm trying an assassin, but don't tell anyone! Thanks for the wishes of luck, I'm sure I'll need them, and a lot of pk mindset readjusting.

I really do wish I could have stuck around longer, now, with all this love pouring out to me. *chuckle* But I started dying lots of stupid deaths, and the college thing, and a bunch of new characters trying to burst out of my brain.

You'll be a good Acolyte. Good luck with those angels, man. I know the pain of being a lowbie conjie w/out circles. Ugh. Be well, and always look to the Light

It's always painful when an otherwise fine character goes out of their way to get entangled in all sorts of forum melees. The less you post with the name of your active character the better, possibly excepting uncommented logs. Accept that there are a number of cheap-shot artists in the peanut gallery, and just ignore them and focus on building your reputation within the game.

It's worth noting that most of the loudest complainers about other people's roleplay couldn't withstand a tenth of the same scrutiny if it was applied to their own characters.

The Goddess leaned back in her throne, gazing up at the stars. A small noise drew her attention to the entrance of her bathhouse, where an elvan woman stood. Normally, this maid came to her armed, shield dented and mace crusted with blood. For as long as Rayihn had known her, she would stop at the entrance and wash the blood from her hands before entering. Today, however, was different.

She wore no shield, no sword, no armor. Today, she wore a simple gown of pure sunlight and her long hair was free and freshly brushed. Rayihn stood, giving her a questioning look. The elf met her eyes and nodded. Rayihn moved to her and took the elven maid in her arms, embracing her. As the elf returned the embrace, the two seemed to become one for a moment, before Rayihn stepped back. She offered Mendecirith her hand, and the elf took it with a rueful smile.

Rayihn walked Mendecirith to the back of the Bathhouse, where mirrors lined the wall. The two stood for a long time, gazing into the mirrors, memorizing the moment. Then, Rayihn took a step forward and led Mendecirith through the wall.

Beyond was a place of dreams. A place where the sun always shone and children laughed and sang and played innocent games. There was no pain here, no blood, no hate. Nothing suffered or lacked; it truly was a utopia. Waterfalls ran free and rainbows sparkled on the air.

The elf stepped forward, wonder and joy in her eyes, the last of her pain shaken free. She began to walk towards the nearest waterfall but stopped herself, turning back to her Goddess. Rayihn smiled and nodded. “You deserve it, Mende.” The elf ran back to the Goddess, putting her arms around her one last time. Rayihn kissed her and then stepped back.

“You’ll tell them I loved them?” Mendecirith whispered.
“They know, my love,” Rayihn whispered back. Satisfied, Mendecirith turned back to the place of wonder, her ethereal form at last finding peace and happiness.

Rayihn watched for a moment and then turned back, walking back through the mirror to her Bathhouse. She took a seat upon her throne and only then did she allow herself to cry.

He he.

I'm still not exactly sure why she glared at me.
I think it is because I hugged Mendecirith in front of her and she was jealous.
Or maybe she is very posessive.
