At 6 o'clock PM, Day of Deception, 23rd of the Month of the Spring
on the Theran calendar Adhelard perished, never to return.

No offense intended to other members, but when I was "growing up" in the Fortress so to speak, you were always the older and more experienced maran that I looked up to. Solid character and solid combat skills made you a joy to stand beside in combat, and I was always amazed that you turned some pretty dire fights our way many a time.

I'll sum it up by saying you will be sorely missed.

We had some good fights that I didn't think we'd walk out of. But the best was when we all went and followed my brilliant plan to get Cabdru's Axe. Did anything ever happen with that?

I stop by and here I see my char has auto'd.

My wife did kill my character That, and I started working 10-12 billable days, which, coupled with an infant, meant I was drastically cutting into sleep time to play - at some point I realized I had to let it go until I have a more managable schedule. Of course, I pushed off that point until a hard deadline: the night before I was leaving for a work trip. And even then, after dying a few "final PKs" on the night of this hard deadline, I still couldn't press the delete button so just stopped logging in. True to form. I can never delete.

I hated this character sometimes, it was so boring playing a sword/flail. Other times it was great fun. It got a lot more fun when I stopped caring whether I made it out of a fight. And next time I am able to roll up a character, it will undoubtably have locate object to make finding people easier.

There are probably a select few that remember this character, so I'll save on the long goodbyes other than to say thanks and it was fun Thanks to the Imms for letting me stick around so long logging on a few hours a week.

FWIW (not much, heh), you were the only char to kill my "bring back Twist" mortal, Kharia. Probably just a blip on your radar, 3 rounds while I was coming out of duo (nice timing, btw), but still, I was able to avoid death to several other chars who got me to (as low as) 3 hp (damn you Gistle). You managed to finish the job.

That was total luck. I spent a lot of time wandering around looking for Kharia without any expectations of actually finding her. What timing. But then, Luck favors the Maran.

And welcome back! You were missed.

No doubt about it, you were tough as all hell for me to fight. But you were also worth a lot of charges, so it was always worth a shot, coming after you. Definitely got the adrenaline pumping, which is one major reason to keep playing.

You had serious guts and it was a pleasure to draw fantasy blades against you.

We were some bitter enemies growing up. I remember being a spectre and just watching you in awe as you dispatched of a group of imperials while I was preparing to summon you into a closed room. Luckily I thought better of it aftewards. You also got away with some of the luckiest #### ever hehe. Good fights you killed me once and I think i repayed the favor once as well. Amazing warroir

The luckiest time I remember was once when you slept & maledicted me, and my teleport landed me one area away from you, in Voralian - I had no more teleport potions in my inventory. Suddenly it hit me that using Maelstrom, I could empty my sack and then pick up a transportation potion. Literally the moment I picked it up, you summoned me again. Quaffed away and lived to tell the tale. Now that was a quick change of Luck.

Let us count the number of characters I had in the duration of this one.

Silvellien and Adhelard made Maran together.

Then I had two random characters of no consequence, lowbie pking, mostly.

Enniallien came after that... I had some interaction with you but your times died a horrible death sometime previously and I didn't see you much.

Then Morior... (see above)

Now my current character.

Either I run through characters too fast or you run through them too damned slow.

Particularly this character.

Man, Silv and Enniallien.. we saw some ugly losses together

You were always a tough fight and I enjoyed your character, even though Adhelard and Tyr didn't really have much to say to eachother.

From what I recall you always seemed to catch me in the strangest places (south of Seantryn and the strange island come to mind) and generally mowed me down with a big mithril flurry. Such things were typically the bane of my character though.

For all the crap Tyr gave you out of frustration from not being able to beat you, I hope you didn't take it too personally. As I player, I know you were just tough as nails to beat. Tyrelyn as a drow, however, would never accept any race, particularly a dim-witted muscle-bound storm giant, as stronger than the mighty drow.

I didn't take it personally. I took a lot of flames with this character, half the time for #### I didn't do, but I understood where you were coming from.

It WAS a brutal matchup for you (probably comparable to Adhelard vs. Rektath/Friarr (see my post below), but that didn't seem to stop you from making a fight out of it. Kudos and good luck.

We had great fights. I think our fights are the best giving the circumstances (warrior vs warrior). I actually looked forward to more, but alas.

Maybe the toughest (dagger/hands/defender).

Dagger and hands was brutal. Thanks to Grysh pointing out how negative str kills flurrying, I thought for a few minutes and figured out a great way to beat down dagger users (Cross - with spike toed boots it's almost unfair), but then you'd throwdown and bust out the iron-clad fists that couldn't be crossed. Devestating. I can't imagine how a RBW deals with defender dagger/hands in the Rights.

Anyway, you got guts. Hopefully I'll be around at some point trying out a Nexus guy and we'll have a rematch

I remember being pumped when Khar and I got you in the Fortress when I was Xoregh. Good times man. What happened here? Best of luck with the next and see you in the fields.

I really enjoyed your character. When I first fought you with Ulzammon, they were some edge of your seats battles. Like when you and Daiden were raiding and I slew Daiden but you had me entwined and hurt badly.

With Dhaezym you were just, the old Maran who knew what he was doing. Class, just straight class. Hope you find some time to play later on man.

I can't believe you looted that battlerager I fought in Galadon, though Too cruel.

I felt really bad, but I tried hard to make Dhaezym a real ass.
