Subject: Civilization
At first glance, you feel a sense of peace as you look upon a lush
forest. Small animals are grazing in the field and a few does drink water
from a clear pond. As you take in the entire painting a feeling of lose
overpowers you as men set fire to the forest. Behind the men, you see
another team of workers, cleaning up the debris as others build
structures out of the wood that was cut down. As you continue your gaze
into the painting, you see a team of workers expanding an old wooden
bridge crossing a river. Making it more sturdy for the armies that will
no doubt walk across it. Off in the distance you can see a lone figure
standing, watching. The giant nods her approval as civilization takes
hold and order is brought to the now, dead forest. As your gaze leaves
the painting, you reflect on the accomplishments of the Empire.
